There are many. FOr example owners of copyblogger and problogger are one of the most successful in this industry. Similarly Gizmodo and engadget are run by the most successful blog teams of the world.

It's really tough to say one name. For me, Darren Rowse is the best blogger of the world.

It really depends on the niche, doesn't it? For each niche there are some top bloggers. For some reason the above assume that you refer only to bloggers who blog the online world, but there are fashion bloggers and fitness bloggers and the list goes on and on..

    This depends on many things.
1- Subject, (building websites, blogs, marketing, many more.)
2- Being helpful in the area that you are interested in.
3- How the subject is pointed out to you.
These are only 3 areas, there are so many more.

Many of the people mentioned above are CEOs of companies behind those blogs, and they have multiple authors ... for example I think Matt Cutts is a great blogger and I like his 30 day challenge concept.
