I'm looking at creating a place to buy and sell websites. All .com domains I want are taken so am settling with a .co domain. I have siteflip(dot)co and websitemarket(dot)co Looking for some opinions. Thanks
Out of two sites, siteflip is short and to the point. My advise is not to expose your resources to the public such as this. I hope you can understand what I am trying to say. So, better hurryup and register the one you like.
Already have them registered hah, I have 4 similar domains but like these 2 the best. Just trying to get some opinions on which one to use.
Siteflip.co is definitely the best, short and sharp. In some ways it will be harder to garner trust with a .co domain but I think if the site has really crisp graphic design it could certainly appeal. The hardest thing will be marketing the site. Search competition is fierce for anything relating to buying and selling websites. You already have established competitors (Flippa!) and forums are the next go-to. Good luck anyway, all the best!
Okay am going with Siteflip.co, Have someone working on the design at the moment, will integrate the auction, pm system, and all those goodies for me as well. Have a few ideas sites like flippa dont use such as an inbuilt escrow system and accepting bitcoins. Also thinking about free listing but paid upgrades to help attract more sellers. Probably have given out to much info already hah Flippa is the only real competition out there, only a few other sites I know about that hardly get traffic and look like they were designed in 1995..
siteflip does sound good and straight to the point, but websitemarket has some potential, I could see that as a forum website about domains maybe
Yes may use websitemarket for something else, its a good domain name, hopefully one day the .co domains will become popular.
I'd go with SiteFlip.co. Short and easy to remember. The other thing you can do is to set the other domain up as a mirror site and point the URL to SifeFlip. That way you can track the hits and see which one performs the best. Rocky
siteflip is good from a branding point of view, but this depends on your business model. i.e do you want a big brand which people will recognise?
