yahoo is silent...why?

Basically GOOGLE > Yahoo in terms of traffic.

In terms of conversions and sales, Yahoo > Google IMO....

 

0% for all other search engines?

I m getting huge traffic from yahoo on other sites. so how can you say nobody use yahoo for search?

 

i used to use yahoo and heard that google is better. i didnt belive them and i am not one that follows the trends. one day i checked it out and never turned back. google pwns yahoo doesnt even though i like yahoo mail better

 

Just because your traffic from Google is good, your traffic from Yahoo may not be, it all depends on how your doing in the Yahoo SERP's.

It depends on the keyword you are using. But also realize the fact that mostly are using Google. I love yahoo and I am also using it but for SEO I am using Google.

suppose yahoo not paying that much attention to its search engine.

 

Google is the best and many people uses it, and Yahoo has very less users so you get less visitors from Yahoo. You should not concentrate on Yahoo, just try to get more and more from Google.

 

Now a days very rare people use yahoo. Mostly people use Google for business works etc.

 

Google has a larger market share. So it is not unusual to have more visitors from google. For some websites, yahoo might bring in more traffic if they rank much better in yahoo's serps than in google's.

 

I think because yahooo now rarely used by people to search...
they often use it as email or messenger....

 

I wouldn't say Yahoo is silent per se. More like it's overshadowed by Google in terms of search engines. I still believe that it needs to revamp its business model though.

 

Hardly any visit from Yahoo or Bing to my blog... Wonder y?

 

Google services are unique and fast 95% people use it, so that Yahoo is silent...

I'm not sure why noone else has said it yet, but also remember yahoo search is powered by bing. If you are ranking well in bing you will probably rank well in yahoo search.

 

Bing hardly index websites. while google indexes more pages in your website and thus gives you greater opportunity to appear in search, bing rather indexes few pages and thus few traffic.
So notwithstanding the fact that most people don't use yahoo/bing, they don't give you enough freedom to enjoy organic traffic

 

well, simple answer :
because your website is not optimized for yahoo..
or, optimized, but need time to indexed by yahoo..
