The Like Thread

I spent a few minutes looking at some of the thread titles on this forum. I noticed a lot of threads complaining.
"It's too hard to get likes!"...... blah,blah,blah.
"The page load time is too slow!"....blah,blah,blah.
"I received a warning for nothing!"....blah,blah,blah.
Etcetera,etcetera,ad nauseum.
I sometimes wonder if members who don't have Premium memberships forget that DP is providing a *free* service.

Anyway I was just wanting to have a thread where members come on here and write about what they *like* about DP. I thought it would be a nice change from the usual moaning and groaning. I fully realize that a feedback forum will get some complaining, but I just need to read something different......for a change.
Care to add your 2 cents worth?

 

I'll add my 2 pence worth.

I like the speed of the forum now. It's blazingly fast in Chrome.
I like the fact that this forum doesn't make me puke (unlike WF). It's very diverse (sections on a lot of different topics) and not just populated by people trying to shove a stupid spam links product down your throat.
I like the posts by some very smart people on here (for example, deathshadow I think s/he/it's called - read his/her/its posts, they are very informative about design, CSS and HTML) in quite a few sections. Even Politics and Religion.
I like malky66's and Frost1's avatars.
Sometimes Shawn makes me want to bang my head against the wall (I haven't even bothered posting about the latest PayPal/Instant Pay problems ), but I respect him for how he (and the mods) have worked hard to transform DP.
I like (and dislike) the crybaby SEOs/webmasters - it can be a source of amusement sometimes.

Is that enough likes for you?

 

For me the most valuable thing at this moment on DP is defenetly thread 'GoDaddy coupon codes', it's defenetly saved me a lot of $.

I like your idea of ​​creating this thread. (Like you've said, it's been WAY out of hands with those "I don't like the 3 likes rule" threads)
I also like the speed of the forum. (The loading time of pages is incredibly fast now if you compare to how it was before the changes.)
I like that most people are respectful and treat others good. (Even though you DON'T have English as your first language.)
I like most of the threads in general business & general marketing, and I find these sections most interesting.
I also like the fact that MY own likes counts and could help others to become established members.

And that's it! I'll stop the likes now.

One of the things I *really* like on DP is all the whiners and complainers that come on here. It's strictly "poor me" boohoohoo! These misfits I'm sure complain in their real life as well. It's so very funny to read their descriptive misery.
For pure entertainment value, nothing beats coming on to DP and reading all the sad sacks ha*ha! Do please continue to moan and groan as I can use the laugh!
