How important is it for your website to be listed on Bing? My website does not come up on Bing. It does come up on Google and Yahoo though. It is important for my site to be listed on Bing?
Personal thoughts here. For me, it doesnt matter if your site was listed on Bing or not. What matter most was it should be listed on GOOGLE and on YAHOO.
LOL, i never checked my site traffic from Bing, however my site is listed but i never see any traffic coming from bing in my Analytics or AwStats
There aren't any cons to be listed on Bing. However, Bing is one of the lesser used search engines. So, you're not losing a lot of traffic. Do you know why your site isn't listed on Bing?
Ill give you an example for a keyword that I rank #1 for on google, yahoo, and bing for one of my sites today: Google: 276 visits Bing: 17 visits Yahoo: 26 visits As you can tell, bing is not that big of a deal. And shockingly, for that keyword, neither is yahoo. So, you should be fine.
You can add and verify it with bing webmaster tool.Than you can get your website listed in bing . Thanks
It completely depends upon the individual, If he/she wants can get the listed on Bing if not Google is the best and you are there so perfect.
Listing on all big search engines is success, so it is important to have ranking on all the search engines.
I promote my site on Bing/Yahoo via AdCenter. I know there are still a lot of Bing/Yahoo fans out there, so to me - its fairly important. Now, will it give me the same traffic as Google? Probably not, but still, they are next to Google and do play a huge role when it comes to the site's searchability and popularity.
It completely depends on the country/area which you use (this goes for all search engines I guess). Depending on what your target group is, it still might be worth to rank high on Bing, even if you only get 20% of unique visitors/impressions from it.
I wouldn't worry about Bing at all at the moment. I would categorize both Google and Yahoo above Bing in the search engine popularity list, so I highly doubt that you will be missing out on a massive amount of traffic. The effort it will take to rank in Bing probably isn't worth the measly visitors return you'll see.
It's good to be listed in all the major search engines, even if Bing would only accounts for 5% or 10% of traffic when listed, it is still 5-10% and if it also returns 5-10% more revenue, even better Obviously Google still rules the way at the moment and your focus should be on that, but spending a bit of time making sure your site is also optimized as best as it can be for Bing can't hurt. I did read somewhere a while back that Bing seems to give more weight to aged domains/sites than Google and have noticed my aged domains/sites tend to do better than some of my other sites in Bing. It might be a coincidence, not sure
The benefit from getting listed from all search engines is that you will get more visitors compared from visitors coming only from Google search engine alone. That's is the only benefit.
While it may not be as large and as widely used as Google, I feel like Bing is taking the necessary steps to being a valuable search engine. With the way Google constantly changes and updates, shifting SERP rankings and so forth, I think we'll continue to see a shift where Bing continues to grow. Google is obviously top priority on your list, but I do not thing Bing is something we should sweep under the rug and forget about.
I do receive traffic from BING, however no traffic from Yahoo , most of traffic come from Google. Google is #1
