Everybody already knows of Interflora) But their problems and budgets aren't common for most of webmasters.
Maybe everybody knows about InterFlora (I would not bet on that) but the case study is very interesting. It offers with also the other articles some interesting points and information which has more value then most blog posts. It was not featured on several SEO websites eg Searchengineland if it had no interesting value. And regarding the budget, yeah they have a bigger budget. They also used that budget for more Blackhat SEO then a average website. But that does not mean you can not learn anything from it, see things in perspective.. I'm not posting this with the idea to share a method but with the idea of sharing valuable information. There are plenty of methods on the web. Thing is not every method works for someone due the smartness of Google. So you need to learn and understand how things work..
Well to be honest I'm not familiar with those tools. I just shared this because I read it about it on Searchengineland and noticed some questions here regarding the same subject. I hoped it brought some insights about which questions you should ask when you got hit. I read many questions here about how to fix it. But for a stranger it is hard to tell, thats why you should ask yourself some questions as in the article stated. Many people expect that there is a main solution for a hit by Google but there is not any. I lost some ranks in 2012 but went also up with others. At the end I can say that I'm quite happy with the updates so far.
