Hey, I'm starting to get a complex here. I first read about directories about 2 weeks ago and have submitted to about 10 since, you know, just to see what it's all about. Well of that 10, only 1 has posted my site. Now, it has been the "free" listings I've wanted, but does that make a difference? I can't think of a reason they wouldn't post my site. It's just a fan-site of the New Orleans Saints, nothing inappropriate. Do these things just take awhile?
my friend every thing depends on money.i would better suggest you to go and post yourself in some ggod directories.search the forums for ggod directories,
Believe it or not, most directory owners don't sit around waiting for submissions. Once a directory gets going, people don't have time to go in and validate links. I own 4 directories, and every couple of weeks I manage to get caught up. It's tough when you let a few days go by and come back to find several hundred submission you have to go through. I would say, just be patient and you need to submit to a lot more than 10. There are people on here that will manually submit your site for a reasonable fee, and have hired them in the past.
Try submitting to some paid directories, there usually it only takes up to a day for a listing to be approved, sometimes, a matter of hours. Free directories, forget it Just submit & forget.
yea you can go for manual submission, many people are doing it here for very less prices.spend some $10-15 and you are done.
Try to submit your sites to my paid directories (the ones in my signature),I will approve your site in a few seconds if your site has decent content
I think the major problem with free submittals is down to the volume of submittals on free directories these in many instances have approval backlogs which take a long time to approve Suggest submitting to quality paid directories if you want quick approvals for your listing
Exactly.. i dont know how free site owners manage it... imagine getting 100 submissions a day without getting paid, ouch.
Seiya you are correct I get around 70 submissions a day and It takes a lot of time for me to approve the links and also Those sites which do not follow proper guidelines will be rejected outrightly
Britishguy is right... I receive nearly 160 more or less free submissions per day to List My Niche and I try to stay up with it from day to day. All submissions are not equal, I do in fact have a back log of sites that are pending because I am still thinking if I should include them or not. I offer submitters both free and paid options and to be honest, I always review the paid listings first when ever they come in. If you are in a hurry, choose the paid option. You'll usually get a better spot and normally a quicker review.
Its not too hard....if one gets 100 submission per day, 25 of them are inside pages, 25 of them are submitted to the top categories, 25 of them are made for ads or gambling or online drug-sellers. So ultimately around 25 sites you have to approve.
That's the most honest statement from another directory owner I've ever seen. Like we're waiting and looking every 2 seconds or 2 days for that matter to see on submissions. Hit em when they're starting off, or wait it out on free directories.
Its funny how most people here are directory owners and all recomend using paid listings . Joking aside, invest $10-$15 to pay someone to submit to 100 free directories and use paid listings on directories that you think will really add value to your site. The value can come from targetted visitors or link love.
1. Try to post on new general directories, they ussualy approve it right away, until they get enough submission 2. Try to post on niche/local directories, there are less submission on this kind of directories. Hopefully you'll get faster approval.
Hey Phil. Let us know the URL of the site you are submitting to these directories. It would be helpful if we could see the site. By the way....GO SAINTS!!!
Think long-term. Submit daily to every free directory listed in the Solicitations section of Digital Point. Over the course of a year, you will gain perhaps 1,000 good links, plus the small amount of traffic that will be directed your way by the sum total of the directories you get listed in. Submission to free directories is, of course, only one aspect of your multi-faceted approach to building your website. But it is a good and effective way to gain a large number of links to your website. And determine from the beginning not to try to scam the directories. As has been mentioned above, don't try to sneak inner pages by the directory owners. And don't try submitting to top-level categories, in a misguided attempt to "get more PR", if a sub-category more accurately expresses the nature of your site. In a word, show respect for the directory owners and follow their guidelines, and you are likely to get most or all of your links approved.
I try not to build up, i either approved or reject. The ones that are rejected tends to comeback. So a good 20-30 submission usually gets approved while the rest gets deleted.
For any directory owner getting 100-200 submissions per day, you need to do something about your "bot problem". Make humans submit.
Submit to 100 200 300 then you can see some results or make an opinion Or bether post url or what info you need when you submit it. Regards
