hey, ive worked 2 years about the next project. i did my best. its all mine. site url: www.kickasser.com please give me comments in here and there. the site is a place to find what is better in a relative way. its all free and authentic. for example: you want to buy a new car; you dont know which is the best car for your speculations. you visit kickasser, you find which car is the best ranked for you and thats it. BMW X5 VS Chevrolette bla bla lba Cristiano Ronaldo VS Lionel Messi and such.
i really like it and it's a nice idea so far.. the only thing is the wide slider which is a bit annoying.. why you don't make it like Printest for example! a small Vs images in columns will be more good and people can see a lot of choices depend on what they really like...etc you see what i mean !?
Awesome job! Tremendous graphics! I like the name and the best part is you can eventually have thousands of polls and I can almost see some people spending hours every day voting for different stuff. You need to push this thing even harder, get decent traffic and then monetize it (you can monetize by allowing people to create paid polls for their products, etc.).
Inaccessible train wreck of fixed widths, goofy scripting -- it's painful to watch load much less try to even use. Generally speaking the layout (what layout there is) seems just slapped together any old way, and it is without a doubt one of the ugliest sites I've seen. It falls apart miserably scripting disabled, has no real content to even explain just what the devil I'm even looking at, and it gets worse when I peek under the hood... Where I'm seeing static style inlined in the markup, tables for layout, static CSS inlined in the markup, static scripting inlined in the markup... It's a laundry list of how not to build a website. Ever notice you don't see these types of "gee ain't it neat" scripting/animated nonsense on real websites? There's a reason for that!
In 1366x768 screen resolution everything looks fine. But I've just noticed that when I re-size the browser everything gets all messed up. He needs to, I don't know, add a standard width of 960px to it or something.
