    Hi ,
I want to build a website. Its going to be a blog having articles.
I am not a developer or designer.
I have seen wordpress sites are easy to use We have a layout and features like blogger and even uploading sitemap and other things is easy.
There are HTML sites as well.
But my question is Does a wordpress sites have an disadvantage any where like search engine ranking slow loading?
    Or all platforms are same.
    What is your suggestion?
Ya my aim is to get good traffic and start affiliate programming

Wordpress has advantage over search engine ranking and loading speeds not DISADVANTAGE..!
its very good for seo and you find numerous plugins for seo, and other stuff that reduces the load speed and many many more optimization plugins...
apart from that, wordpress isn't just a blogging platform. since you mentioned affiliate programs, this means you can set custom pages for products using wordpress and lot more...

the only disadvantage till you reach a good income is that you must pay hosting fees and once in a while you need to update wordpress cms which might get a bit messy sometimes...

I believe Wordpress is better choice because you have under the control all aspects of your website (you can edit the code as you want, change the hosting if you will not be satisfied with the load speed, etc.).

On the other hand, it will require a little more work (but still not too much, in my opinion). Especially when it comes to SEO, you should to improve the on-page factors by installing some of various SEO plugins (they can be used for free).

Wordpress is better choice if you don't know much about the programming then you should go for wordpress because it's too simple & easy to use for layman.

Wordpress is the easiest to use and learn CMS available today. Others are overly complex.

Wordpress, I like the fact that it's easy for my clients to update themselves, but it also allows you to go very advance if need be.

Well, if you are going to make a classified website I would consider to use some of the free PHP classifieds scripts. Wordpress is a great CMS, but in my opinion it is good for websites where you create the content yourself.

If you check out Hotscripts you will find some more suitable solutions than WordPress. One of the most popular classified scripts is called Noah Classifieds and it is free.

I am a grad school student in emerging media. One of our classes requires a blog to be set-up and they ONLY allow Wordpress blogs because of the superior analytics. We have to build traffic, so the analytics are important for revealing the source of blog visitors. I have a free template and have found the Wordpress forums very supportive when I've had technical questions. Overall it's been a good experience for me.

I vote wordpress, I use that as a cms on all of my websites and I love coding in it. Plus there is a ton of support for wordpress.
