Hi, any thoughts on value of a comedy website name funnylane.com It's about a year old, never developed. I'd develop if I can get a game plan. Portal to other joke comedy sites, or a joke posting site for readers ... I dunno, I'm new to this. Any appraisals please?
Flippa isn't good for domains. Its just good for selling sites. I see lots of good domains goes without any bids as they have most of investors who are looking to buy money making sites. This domain for me worth around $30 or bit higher as it isn't developed nor any kind of premium name.
Flippa is off and on for me as well. If you see good ones with no bids dude definitely snatch them up! But yeah you are right about websites, I have had success selling sites on there, but never tried domains. Anyways, back to OP - FunnyLane.com is good TLD - short, easy to remember, and I can literally think of 10 ideas right off the top of my head on what to develop it to. In the early 2000's looks like it was some kind of daily funny pictures site but looks like they weren't monetizing it or something.. pictures sites have been pretty fail anyways since Google images came out... Definitely mid $xx un-developed - but get this developed and the sky is the limit. My .02 - develop it into something cool, get it ranking for lots of long tails, and either stack the ad revenue or just dump it for 4-10x mo. revenue minimum.
