Need help with landing page?

I have just returned to the IM scene after a couple years away. I began a little cpa work with youtube and created a bunch of videos about musicians being illuminati and whatnot and had the link to a shitty blogger page with my affiliate link there asking them to vote. I made $48 and pretty much forgot about it. So it turns out my videos have had over 2 million views and over 70,000 in the last month. I have also had over 200 views on the blog page. Unfortunately zero conversions.

Now, having lost my bearings, I was hoping someone could help me get in the right direction to capitalise on the traffic. I already think I know that the landing page needs to change.

But any help would be appreciated.

It really depends on what your trying to do.

Pick a CPA offer that suits you, and research highly effective keywords that works really well if your video & offer. This will obviously boost conversions for the long haul.

Importantly, I would recommend choosing a cpa offer that is worldwide. Keep in mind that alot of the youtubers can be international people as well, and it would render that traffic useless if your cpa offer only allowed United State submits.

Lastly, learn some SEO, and try to rank your video to its perspective keyword. The game has changed alot in the past couple of years, time for you to catch up! haha

    To Your Success,

    Marc

I'm assuming firstly that the person's first name is needed. If not I'd experiment with just having a slot for the email address. Also, I'd experiment with having the box(es) as far over to the right as possible.

So the slot for the name goes, in one test, above the slot for the email address. I've gotten better results from having the 'slots to be filled in' as far over to the right as possible. I think it may be to do with where the cursor happens to be when people are browsing.

Okay thanks a lot for replying.

I understand that I have to choose a good offer. I am really thinking about a worldwide email/zip submit offer. However, I am pretty certain that it is my page that is turning people away. It is honestly horrible haha.

I was hoping I could get some sort of suggestions as to what sort of site/landing page would be best? I am also trying to teach myself html right now so I can't exactly create one yet.

hmmmm, Did anyone really read that original post? 2 million views on YouTube with 70,000 in the last month. That's cool, but 200 views to your blog???? Let's assume you had a whopping 1% conversion rate for sending people to an unrelated offer using an email submit or zip submit CPA offer. You would have made an amazing $5.00.

You would be better off trying to get YouTube monetization funds than trying to convert something on your blog with those traffic numbers.

As far as a good landing page...Why do you want anything on the page except the offer? If you are not good with HTML, grab the White-As-Milk theme for Wordpress. It will let you create a very clean page and insert your offer.

Since your main traffic source is video, it does not sound like you are trying to create an SEO optimized blog, so just putting the best converting offer on the page would be my suggestion. Of course, if I was getting traffic for suggesting musicians are illuminati, I would be promoting Amazon books about the Illuminati or conspiracy books, since that is what your readers are interested in.

Last suggestion....If you do go with the White-As-Milk theme and Wordpress, set the frontpage as static for your offer, then set another page for the blog. Write a short blurb about each video you create and embed the video in a post on the blog. That will help your site have an opportunity to rank for some obscure phrases, gain a little extra traction in the search engines, and maybe keep people on your site longer. Add a single text box on the side with a menu to the blog page and one additional banner for a CPA offer related to your topic...at least a little related. (That side banner offer is so you have an offer displaying on every page of your blog, not just the landing page.)

I lied..one more suggestion...Take a closer look at your video and description on YouTube. Does it really attempt to drive traffic to your site? Keep that in mind for your future videos. You want to make sure your landing page is listed first in the description and is highlighted in the video somewhere. Imagine if you could have pushed 1% of those 2 million viewers to your offer. Then at a 1% conversion rate you would have made over $500, and with the right related offer it could have been much higher.
