Need Urgent Help!!! Keyboard working in BIOS but not in Windows 7

    Hi Friends,
    By some reason my keyboard (PS/2) just stopped working (using Windows7) mouse still working.
    There is :confused:little confusion keyboard fully working in BIOS but not working while window 7 welcome screen display:confused: and further i logged in with virtual keyboard.
    Checked this keyboard on other system its Works fine.
    I used an USB based keyboard and it also not working.
    Uninstall and reinstall drivers several times, but problem is still there. I don't want to format my PC.. please help:(

    Conflict with another input device maybe? Or is the physical connection to the keyboard on the base unit damaged, something like that?

    Could your keyboard come with drivers? Possibly you have a CD to put drivers in? Could that be it? Sometimes with gaming or other fancy keyboards, this can be the case. It is possible.

    i'd be willing to bet you have corrupt windows files, check your "updates history" see if you have failed updates, or blank update history window to start with ... when it is plugged in, can you see it in your device manager in windows?

    do you have a spare keyboard to see if you get the same symptoms with that?

    try to reset your bios, remove cmos battery for 15 minutes and put it back.

    There are 2 possiblities here. One is just a bad connection, unplug and plug back in. The 2nd is that you must have somehow clicked *lock keyboard*. So use your mouse to go back and reset.

    his keyboard problem has gotten worse?

    sounds like the chip-set drivers on the system are buggered...can you reinstall the drivers that came with your motherboard?

    Sorry for delay in reply but the problem is founded and solved.

    buddy i think you didn't read the post properly i try it already but no result.
    At last i found the problem in registry section from there it was disabled.
