check out the link below (not mine) and you can also block a lot of bots with your htaccess http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/noright3.htm
You can register your blog into www.copyscape.com If anyone want to copy the content from your blog, it will help you.
Seriously guys, there is no way to prevent copying. But still you can reduce the chances of getting copied 'way too easily'. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-copyprotect/ I used this is some of by blogs, and it works good.Reader can't just come and copy, they need to go in my source to do that. Other option is https://plus.google.com/authorship Always claim your content authorship in Google. And that make sense
Yes.Very much.but I used it only on conditions ,to get rid of some usual copy cats.My blog was not in English. So it was so tough to type the content in local language font.
Hello, i have also the same issue...a guy copied two entire post from my blog and posted on his blog..i am a little bit worried as that guy is using adsense...and its not allowed to put adsense ads on duplicate pages.. is there any way to report to google about this??
Show excerpts instead of full posts. That's only helpful if they scrape your RSS feed though. You can't prevent someone from copying the content manually.
Although if you use any tool for copy protection, manual copying of the content by someone can never be stopped. Using the tool you can reduce the chances of contents being copied easily.
Copying content by selecting the text can be prevented by wp copyprotect or disabling right click on your web page but if someone writes the content by seeing your content then it can't be protected.
I don't understand. Why would you publish anything on a blog you don't want copied? If you try to make it impossible for people to copy, by installing plugins to secure your blog, your blogs will likely end up not being friendly to visitors. Then visitors quickly exiting your blog will just dramatically increase your bounce rate. The best approach is to never publish anything on a blog you don't want copied. If it is strictly images you don't want copied, because they are proprietary (ones you've created yourself) install a watermark plugin for WordPress images. You can also watermark them, before uploading them to your blog gallery. Or have a coder build one for you for as little as $50.00 on Odesk.com. I hope this helps.
How about "wordpress prevent copy paste plugin" - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-prevent-copy-paste-plugin/ , it is better than WP-CopyProtect?
Installed wp-copyprotect, I'll think about whether it's worth keeping on there. For those really concerned with their work being copied at least set up Google Authorship on your Blog and for thing like the above-poster mentioned about material being copied onto sites with AdSense on them, you'd think Google would figure out what's going on.
