I was wondering, is the google, yahoo, and msn seo algorithem going to change any time soon.

Or whatever were doing right now will last for years to come.

Can anybody explain or predict the future? :)

i think it will change merely in terms of stopping spam, but ranking high theorys using backlinks will stay the same, simply because its googles "thing" and no other search engine can do it

I know for a fact that theres people out there who have found "flaws" in the algorithms and can rank sites a lot easier than the average joe SEO'ing his website

I wouldnt even consider spam sites unless you are willing to take the risk or "experimenting"

Your on the good site, but doesnt mean you will get the rankings. Backlinks, Content, Unique Page titles blah blah

Theres lots of factors in seo, keep working on them and sites that get to the top now i think will still be at the top in the future. Not so much will change in my opinion

I think the only major change will be social bookmarks gaining more weight. But the basic idea of quality backlinks will prevail

I think that Google sandbox can filter sites in a long span of time to scan for BH content.

As you can see, Google is getting more advance every generation.

You guys seem to have it a bit backwards here.

The SE's do not try to punish BH sites with their new algorithms, they try to punish WH sites that are using the algorithm to rank thus creating BH sites.

SE's (Google especially) wants you to create one site and provide rich visitor content........PERIOD. Not build backlinks, not write keyword rich content, not provide "link bait", not not not.

So in an attempt to eliminate the exploitation of their ranking tactics the SE's constantly change their algorithms, punishing WH sites and creating new BH techniques. See if they didn't do this there would be absolutely no need for webmasters to create BH sites.

The google sandbox is a prime example of this. You can choose to create a site that is of value and work hard on it putting 6-9 months time into it hoping that it will then start to earn........or you can create 1000's of junk sites, employ BH techniques to jump the sandbox for small to medium percentage of them, then make money immediately. Sure your sites will be sent to a watery grave within a few months (or weeks) but you just rinse and repeat. The BH'er will be making $ while the legitimate site will be working for nothing. Is this the BH'ers fault? No he is just a WH'er that has become frustrated with the system that Google has created.

Start blaming the SE's for creating this by trying to control SEO techniques in the garbage algorithms and mistakes they are making. The BH sites are nothing but a result of the current lazy SE system.

Yes that is my point will it advance to a generation that everything we know about seo will change? Or will everything stay like it is, but google will just try to elimate more spam sites?

Future of search engines are dark in my opinion because number of new pages created are too much faster than they tweak or make wise their algorithms and biggest problem is habit of both SE and Searchers to rely on top results {as expectations}.

In future more ppl would be unhappy from their algos whatever they do.
