    Hi all

My site http://www.GhostRacingSeries.com no longer appears in Google UK
    pages

When I go to www.Google.co.uk and try searching from all the web its
fine but as soon as I try UK only its dissappeared! It is fine on www.Google.com results and comes fairly high for relevant search terms (I used to come in great positions in the UK search too)

I've read a lot of people have had this problem in the last few weeks
but although few sites have come back on google UK results they don't
    seem to know how!

This is the only site I have, we are based in the UK, but when I first
    registered the site I did it as www.GhostRacingSeries.com - I didn't
know names made a difference!! . I've noticed recently there is a site
with the same name but a co.uk end but it has nothing to do with me or
my site (its a made for adverts / adsense sites!)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you in advance

The drop may be because it is not having relevancy for UK results due to the reasons mentioned above.

Simple approach, host in UK (if it is .co.uk domain, more advantageous), get links from UK sites. Your site is currently not satisfying most of it.

Just been talking to a few ppl that have .com sites that have the same problem.. but some of these guys have UK based hosts so maybe thats not a factor?

Any other ideas - I wish google Uk had a way of contacting them :(

You don't need to contact google. Look at it from Googles point of view, if a user searches google.co.uk and specifies they want UK sites only why would Google show them a site with a .com (US) domain and US hosting.

The only thing you can do is change to UK hosting.

As for the other .com sites - they will have US hosting too.

Thanks Mad4 for your comment but I know for certain many sites having the same problem have UK hosting but a .com site so there has to be something else to it !!

Just Hope this happened after christmas rather than before :(

    Sorry but you are wrong.

The issue is the US hosting. Can you show me an example with UK hosting?

Why ask for suggestions and then argue with the responses?

Either your site has been eaten by the great Google flux that no one can explain....... OR you should be hosted physically in the UK and have more UK backlinks. Your choice.

host in UK if you want to be on their SERPs...think they give more consideration to UK hosted sites than the other...:)
