    hi ,

    my vb4 reports Most users ever online is 8449 .I have 22k ip visitors.3 weeks ago I upgraded to vb4.

    I know one famous website (not vb) that always shows its user online record.many times I see that it has 8000 or 9000 online users .I know that it has at least 160k ip visitors daily . but why when my vb4 shows that I have 8449 online users record I only have 24k ip visitors per day ?

    Probably because they set their session time too long to be useful. Anything longer than 15m is a waste of server resources.

    sorry I don`t understand .before upgrading I had 33k visitor per day and my last record online was 800. now my ip daily visitors is 22 k and is growing . do you think can I reach the 150 k daily visitors that the site has now

    is there a control panel setting on vb where I can adjust the timeframe used to record the peak visitors ? I think it is too long (about 5 hours I guess). what is its normal and standard time ?

    I found it thanks
    I found out in coccy setting there is an option for session timeframe and it was 18000 s. I made it 900
    for 15 minutes and instead of 8443 it is now 440 and compatible with my ip visitors daily.
