If am not wrong there was system time mentioned at bottom of page in last system that was applicable over forum. I think that was a great thing and should be in this new look of forum too (Sorry if it is already here and i didn't noticed). It's good because some times we switch time zones or login from other systems then time sync with messages received or threads a bit difficult. Other great thing which was available in last system "Message read Report", i guess it is a good thing to know when your message recipient has receive and read your message.
What you see of the forum is always localised to your time, so how does knowing the server time help? It would confuse matters if you tried to match that up with what you see on the forum.
If you look at the time on your computer, it's the same info (assuming your timezone is set correctly).
