I'm seeing a huge shift in what's being reported by the "Links to your Site" page across all the domains in my WMT account. Something like 50-75% of Links that still exist and were previously reported are now gone.
I havent' experienced it. Can you perhaps give more details on the situation? Elaboration would be appreciated.
yes, I have same situation. My 40% links are removed from Google Webmaster. Can anybody have idea, what we have to do in this type of situation? another thing that, I have lost my ranking of keywords but gaining in organic traffic. How is it possible?
Google is working on a fix for this issue. http://webmaster-forum-announcements.blogspot.ca/2013/02/known-issue-links-to-your-site-data.html
Check this link Google has confirmed the reports of the removal of the “not selected†filter within Google Webmaster Tool’s Index Status report.
Yeah, I experience the same issue and it seems like Google acknowledge the problem - http://webmaster-forum-announcements.blogspot.ca/2013/02/known-issue-links-to-your-site-data.html
I've noticed the same... Except the links that have disappeared are the vast majority of links to my homepage and some of the more popular inner pages of my site. These are genuine natural backlinks. I'm sure this has happened before. It coincides with the recent PR update so there may be some recalculation going on for that metric?
I think that was an error in google webmaster tools and they have fixed it, hope now everybody out there is able to see the lost baclinks are back now. Google webmaster tools was not showing the links to your home page basically but the issue is fixed now. Smiles
