I haven't made a lot of products but the ones I have prove that making your own products, getting affiliates to help sell them is the way to go. It took me a while because I was very cautious as well as confused but no that I know what to do I feel more comfortable with the process overall. What I really like is that when you least expect it a sale or more will come through. Ramping things up using the math means you really can make huge chunk of change with the right product and smart affiliates.
Yes, combining both is fine too. However making your own products means other affiliates will sell it for you. One fellow over at WF said that if he produces a product with a $200 price tag and gets 200 affiliates to sell it for 50% he'll make $20,000. That's a sound equation that means a good nest egg to keep the wolves off the door for sure especially if you decide to live in a country like Thailand where $20k there is like having $200k here.
I can't give out my figures. Not a wise idea. However it's the kind of income that is coming in steady and surprisingly. I'm not a Rockefeller yet but by using the tried and true techniques of the gurus I'm moving up the ladder. It can take some time and experimentation but there's the solid advice the pros give out here on DP and WF that we should all follow. Right now all I have to do is produce, produce, produce, promote, promote, promote. I have a bit of luck in that I work in the news business. However even though our news sites get enormous traffic they're not monetized for IM. Now I can do that and I'll let you guys know how it turns out.
I don't see the problem with you telling me how much time you spend working on it. Also, instead of giving an exact answer on how much you make, can I ask if you make enough to make a living with it or not?
Time spent varies on size of the project. Ebooks take more time and if I illustrate an ebook like a childrens book I did about stem cells it can take weeks. Short reports of just text take a few hours to maybe a day or so. I don't crank out stuff nor use outsourcing. I'm hands on all the time. So a short report that has text and illustrations I draw may take a few days. Someone like you who is a seasoned professional can understand the value in doing the job right. I can make a living with it depending on demands but I'm not rolling in dough just yet but that can change any day with the right product, affiliates and promotion.
I can sell plr ebooks? I have 25 articles, I'm having problem with landing page and thank you page, can I somehow put that in my moneystradegy.com website and adsense,? I would give affiliate 75% to start, can I expect a few sales a day?
Imtrying, you'll need to study up a bit more so you don't mess up. Search Digital Point and look for 'how to' threads about selling PLR products.
Who created your affiliate software? I'd like to eventually have an affiliate marketing site of my own, but can't find a decent affiliate mark. software. Thanks.
No one created my affiliate software. It's part of the companies. Clickbank and JVZoo have their own systems which is why they're so successful.
Greg! I couldn't agree with you more! I personally went a different route though, and created an SEO MONSTER! (me) Keep it up man, SAM loves you! Holla!~
Everything I have done has been successful, just not as nearly as much as providing SEO to others. I love seeing clients happy as hell after I put them on the first page of Google.... So, I stuck with learning SEO and making Google happy when I implement my techniques for my client's websites. I'm always learning because Google's Algo is always changing... SAM is the tax man!....Uncle SAM! Holla!!~
I think I've worked with you before on something. It's great to have success like you've had. I went to your website and I love the pic of the kid in the superhero outfit as I draw those superhero comics for a living too. I'll make sure to come to you when I need that SEO.
You are right my friend. Creating your own product is the way to go. The problem what I find, when it comes to create your own product is, what kind of product can I create? I am not a product developer
There's lots of products you can create. There are ebooks, short reports, PLR packs, how-to courses. Remember you can put videos and audio and pics in a pdf and you're good to go. Just sit down and either write about a hobby or something you're interested in and then put it out. If you search around for niches like weight loss or relationships what you do is sign up as an affiliate for those website programs and drop your affiliate links inside your products so that people click them, buy them, and you make extra money. One fellow over at WF discussed numbers that made a lot of sense. He said that if he makes a product that costs $200 and gets just 200 webmasters to sell it where they get 50% commission he ends up making $20k right off the bat. That's a good chunk of change right there. Now if we expand on that and let's say he has 400 affiliates probably from his email list he makes more.
