I am looking to create simple videos to upload to YouTube for a client. Does anyone know of an easy to use slide show video creator?

    Thanks

Windows movie maker is easy to use. On a Mac you could use iMovie or even iPhoto if it's just a slideshow.

Something easy yet loaded with effects/features and advanced technologies would be definitely Adobe Premiere Pro.
You can easily figure out the user interface the moment you start the program. The default UI has a timeline, a library, two previews (one for work are and second for actual preview of timeline).
You can render at amazing speeds with different quality levels and different formats including HD :)
Also it has a provision for youtube fast rendering outputs.

If you are used to with any adobe products (Photoshop/AI/ etc) then the interface of PP will become even more easier for you.
You can ask me questions if you need any help on this :) Am a master on PP and have been making professional videos for my clients.

Windows movie maker is the best for beginner. but if you're an advance user, go for Adobe Premiere Pro with some cool effects.

Cyberlink Power Director was pretty easy if I remember correctly. But I think if you google a bit, you can also find a satisfying free video editor, that could suit the basic needs of simple effects and transitions.

If you have a mac - I would recommend using iMovie. If you're using a PC - your best bet is to use Windows Movie Maker. Those 2 seem to be the easiest to me - Just my opinion!
