thanks shawn Also suggest the following statement should also involve the unpaid transaction count & value. has been involved in 1 transaction with 1 different user. This user has received $0.00 as a seller and has spent $7.00 as a buyer.
Well, i have a similar sour transction to report so that other users on DP are aware of it. The seller did not deliver some of the goods agreed as part of package. The deal was agreed here and paid via paypal, not using insta pay. So how do i report the misdeeds of the user?
You can report them on a site like http://www.ripoffreport.com/ but we don't get involved in disputes between members if that's what you are looking for?
Then the DP user can cheat with more DP users. Are we not going to be held accoutable for deeds/misdeeds for transactions agreed to on this forum?
Even under the old system, I think you had to identify a specific offer in a thread from the seller to report, didn't you? So if it was just something you agreed to on the side that wasn't a specific offer on the forum there wasn't a way to report any how, right?
I can identify specific thread and NO, it was not a side deal. In the older system we could point out a problem through itrader which served as a warning for other potential users. In the newer one, we cant.
In the current system, if a buyer do not complete the payment, the warning is not very clear directly. You have to visit the profile, click on market place and then see. Since many members didnt use instant pay to pay, the % rating is already less. Even other side members know this. So you can not give complete weight to what the system is saying. Anyway, we have decided to migrate and people will slowly adjust. 2 members in last month have not completed there purchases from me and there is no way i can add a negative for them. Unpaid warning is very mild.
Old iTrader ratings are available on user's Marketplace tab on their profile. In addition, the replacement system (Instant Pay) is about 500x harder to scam/give false ratings since now we actually know if a transaction actually happened or not. You can see much better info like how many disputes/refunds the buyer/seller has been involved with (for example).
I got scammed by someone who has a legacy iTrader rating of nearly 100%. He scammed other users too as buyer. We delivered what was asked for, but were never paid. None of us can give any feedback on him because the new system only works when a payment has been made. The guy will continue to scam freely in the same manner because now he know no one can give any feedback to him in the way they would have with iTrader
Sorry you got scammed...but having less than 100% legacy itrader should have thrown some warning signs, it would with me, also why did you deliver before you received payment?...thats a really bad idea. Was the deal done through a specific thread? if so you should post what happened in the thread so other people have a chance to not be scammed by him.
A large number of honest users don't have a perfect iTrader rating. It is normal. When the iTrader system was active, scammers used to return negative feedbacks. Even I have one negative feedback. If I am not wrong Shawn too had received a negative feedback, which was later removed . Posting in the thread will not solve the problem. The guy will make another WTB thread. Users would look at the person's legacy iTrader rating, some of them will get scammed like me, complain in the thread, the guy will make yet another thread and repeat the process.
Yes, it is the end for the members with less than 3 likes (who don't want to contribute to this forum for any reason)..and the new beginning for the members with 3+ likes (who think positive with this new DP rules)..
