Hi My site (I have used tiny url as I do not want my url indexed as part of this thread, so please don't post the url) http://www.flamingolandrentals.co.uk Has poor ranking for the keywords Flamingoland (position 84) and Flamingo Land (position 82). It was page one for years until the penguin and panda updates. Now what is confusing me is I posted this question on the Google support forum and was told that my sites contents is not optimised for those keywords, I do not understand that comment at all, as you will see my site uses those two keywords throughout. Even though the keyword density is below 3% for those keywords, I believe using them anymore will make it appear spammy? Anyone have any suggestions for improving it for those two keywords? There are so many other things that go into good keyword rankings. What else are you doing to support these keywords? You will need things like linkbuilding and blog posting (etc).

your on page seo is not good your site speed and structure is not full fill with On page SEO i noticed your site structure is very long it's effect on site speed if you search your keyword you find first page sites open these sites and see these sites have short structure and also sites opening speed is fast your site take time to load google don't like long pages and slow sites. try to fast your site thanks
Well, when i search for 'FlamingoLand' you are the first result. Maybe you are using a browser with a different location?
if you open your site and see your site take time to load also your site have 73 Time "Flamingoland" keyword only use on home page 100% keyword stuffing for Google and 37 Time "Flamingo Land" you can solve this issue if you make you home page like this site flamingoland-caravans.co.uk thanks
I am using Firefox and IE, but the positions I mentioned above 82 and 84 are from my GWTs account. My browsers certainly don't show me as the first result I really would be grateful if someone could tell me why I was told my site is not optimised for those two keywords. I have had two people from DP who stated they specialise in SEO look over the on-page contents and they both said it was fine, but for the Google forums to state your site is not optimised for those keywords, there must be a reason for that, sadly when I asked them to elaborate, I got no further replies.
Google Forums say bez your site use to many time same keywords change your site layout if you want Good ranking check all top ten sites or pages for better idea follow other ranked sites
Hi My site has a heck of a lot of text, so while those keywords are repeated a lot the keyword density is still less than 3% for each of those keywords. The keyword density of the other site is nearly 3 times more than my site, because they have a lot less text. So how can mine be seen as spammy??? My site is a completely different site from the one you mentioned and is loved by my advertisers, so I have no plans to change the functionality of it. I will work on the load time however. You appear to be saying my site is over optimised for those two keywords and the google forum said it's not optimised for those keywords. What they actually said is, there is no problem with your site, it is just not optimised for those two keywords, simple as that! So if someone can explain this, I would be very grafeful. But please with the greatest respect I am only looking for suggestions on the contents not the functionality.

Hi Thank you I have read those articles and it states that the recommended keyword density is between 3-7%, I am below 3% for both of those keywords. Combine that with being told my site is not optimised for those keywords an it would make you think that the density is too low, but you say that its too spammy? So I have no idea whether to decrease the number of times these words are mentioned or increase them. Won't have much hair left before long
latest update is good for EMD domains so it's not issue i think only the site layout is the issue bez your site have to many keywords use and also to many links on home page basically google bot read only 100 links your page have 244 links
i say spamming bez keyword tool not say correct if you search those keywords on your site you see your keywords repeat many times so if human eyes see keyword too many time then google bot work on task human set
I really didn't think that out of almost 3211 words n the homepage 73 instances of my main keyword was a lot. I have actually tried taking it down in the past and it hasn't helped if anything I've dropped down the serps further.
When you did off-page seo, like you said. How did you exactly went about that? Possible problem: -Link quality, and amounts from the website not being relevant -This can be a simple problem, or a bigger problem you might not be using the "keyword" for the anchor text.
Well I have done articles, directories, social media, social bookmarks. I think in the earlier days I maybe used those keywords as anchor text a bit too much so now I try to mix it up more and don't really use those (as single keywords) that often. It is so frustrating because I have been trying for well over a year and I cannot for the life of me figure why I cannot get my ranking back up for those two keywords. As I said I paid two people to really have an indepth look over my site and both reported that the on-page SEO was fine and I just needed to build more back links, which I have continued to do without any luck. There are plenty of other keywords/phrases I rank page one for, but I really do want to get it back for those two. If anything is jumping out at anyone as something obvious I would really appreciate you letting me know
