Does Google perceive Article Submission to Free Directories as Spam?
Is over submission to the free article directories is considered as Spam? In our SEO promotion we frequently make directory submission. Does Google understand these links as quality links? What other steps can be applied to build "QUALITY" Links?[/B]

For quality links you must have link on high pr websites and related to your niche.

 

Article submission is not considered spam, unless you submit low-quality, unintelligible to free directories. You're more likely to be banned from free directory submission sites.

There are other methods in building links like blog and forum commenting, link wheels, and guest posting.

Well, High PR directory doesn't mean you will get a lot of link juice from that page, normally they will have a rel="nofollow".
Real blog and forum commenting is good, but it has to be real, automated commenting is bad.
I'm not sure about getting banned by using free directory submission sites, if it works I use them to submit my competitors websites.

 

To get the Quality Back links,

1. Write only relevant, original content in your website
2. Go for Do follow Social Bookmarking and Article Submission
3. Go for Do follow Blog Commenting and Forum Posting
4. Go for Guest Blogging and Social Media Sites.
5. Link Exchange (only with relevant and trusted websites)

 

To Gain good quality links you have to find quality sites. From quality sites i mean sites that are good in PR and Rank. Also Dont Spam link , Only if you think it is related to your content then only create link. After that categorise your quality sites into classified sites , Blogs, Press Release sites, Forums and Social Bookmarking sites. After that you can post your content according to sites. If you will follow these strategie you will see the difference.

To get the Quality Backlinks , you have to choose good pr sites and don't do heavy submissions that google will considered into spammy. Just submit to good sites and with unique content this should be main.

 

Its great your promoting good methods to "link building", but theres so much detail that goes into just linking to someone these days. Especially when your "guest blogging" for other people. You have to study the level of audience on these blogs, and much more.

Including how well, does these guest posts respond, etc.

 

It would not take as spam if the article you post is unique and quality . For directories it still wont take as spam if you submit to the right categories of directories and each site only submit one time will do for the same company.
