Hey guys since I'm not allowed to post threads in the contests section since I don't have 3 likes I was wondering if you know of any free sites where I can post a contest for a logo for 20 or 30 bucks?

Yeah, it really sucks. I would like to make some posts in a few sections that I am not eligible for, I have been trying to help people where I can but I don't think many people actually hit that like button unless you have REALLY helped them and on top of that only established members count towards us becoming eligible. Anyway here are some sites that you might find useful but some of them I have not used before... Honestly I would suggest browsing through the current contests on this forum and if you find someone that is doing work that you like or in the style you want for similar prices then just PM them, that would be your best bet outside of contributing to the site to become eligible... You can try this site: 48hourslogo.com But to be honest for that price (20 or 30 bucks) you are going to have much more luck searching the forum for people with the skill and work you like and hoping that they need to make some quick cash. Outside of that you can try looking through Deviant Art for logo designs and contact a few of the artists. Just note... You get what you pay for and if this logo is for something you plan on going a long way with then you may want to save a little extra cash and invest in a more professional logo/brand design. Well money isnt always necessary with me, sure if i submit to contests yes it is, but replying to threads such as this i would be willing to offer a free simplistic design

I have the exact same question ! I actually hired someone on Odesk....but......it's...horrible.. He had sent me over 40 logos... hard work? Most of them are.....really bad.. Why I picked him? He has really nice portfolio ( they have a team) But the logos he had sent me......... really not what I want.. Then, I found this forum !! I thought I've found my lifesaver, I meant logo-saver. But, however, after reading the rules, I cannot post on the contest forum since I'm new here and do not have three likes.. well.. I've trying to surf these forums and find the questions that I can answer. I actually did answer a few, but I still have no like.. Any other suggestions? Thanks !!! appreciated!
That's one for you Viviantu. Hope you will get to your way of posting a contest here. I joined this forum few months back, and stayed active. Contribute some knowledge here, I'm sure, sooner or later you will be eligible. It's really fun to enter contests here, and I really enjoy it. Big time. But some contest holders aren't responsible, I hope you're not one of them. Let's make DP a better place to stay.
Thank you for your encouragement and my very 1st (yet the only so far) like. It's such a regret that I just found out this forum a few days ago. Honestly, I think the rules and the concepts are nice. They actually prefer the user contribution over the payments for becoming an established user. However, I'm just too desperate to get my logo... since I've been searching, searching, and had already hired someone who really disapointed me The contest winner should be rewarded for what he or she deserves from the holder.Or else, what'll be the motivation to enter one?
I think instead of collecting likes, you can always opt for being a Premium Member. Pay and post. I'm sorry to hear about your disappointment, but there are a lot of great designers here in DP. Maybe not your lucky day. Anyway, a warm welcome to you.
I've thought about that.. however, it's a bit pricy..I'd rather use that budget on the contest to attract more users to enter.. Thank you so much for your warm welcome
I think you should go to the contest section, find members who are bidding for jobs which are in your budget and contact them through a PM. Try explaining to them why you are contacting them personally and there would be more than a handful who would be willing to work for you. With 20 or 30 bucks, you can't find any contest sites, sadly. The least that you can host a contest for is 150 bucks and that is at SquadHelp. A related site is CrowdSpring but I think the logo contests start at $200. Have you checked oDesk? If you post a Job, freelancers will bid for it and it will almost look like a contest. If not DP, have you tried any other webmaster or admin forums? Almost every popular WM or Admin forum has a marketplace and you can post a contest there. I think there's even a contest section at WebHostingTalk (try posting under 'Design Requests'). Lastly, have you considered Fiverr? I know that you really can't get anything for 5 bucks there (ironical?) but there are freelancers who are willing to do the job for a lower price than the "Featured Sellers". Good luck.
