Add ads from google's competitor will improve your adsense revenue?

I have used adsense since June 2005. Recently, I added yahoo ads to my web pages, what the most surprised me is my revenue of the period(the next 2 days after add new ads) turned three times than before.

I'm not sure this has something to do with adsense CTR, maybe I think if you add a new ad from google's competitor, google(this) will improve your CTR.

Anybody notice this? what do you think?

Some guys said google will punish this kind of site, but I don't think so. I can place any ads what ever I want.

How can google do that? CTR is click-thru-rate based on visitors clicks.
