    Hi all,

I have a question for those of you who know - or used previously the services of people who offer site traffic.

I just want to know where this traffic is coming from? There are so many sellers but non of them actually say exactly where the traffic is coming from. They say its real people traffic and no bot etc. but where those people coming from? Is it some sort of program like easyhit4you or something like that that people have to watch the site for 20 or 30 seconds and click next never paying attention to what they see?

I want to buy some of those services but first I want to know is it good investment or will i just spend few bucks on something that won't work.

Please, good and wise people on DP :p , let me know how does it work and who are the people who will visit my site.

traffic comes from social media sites, blogging etc. these are for free. when you say buying, then you are paying them to share your site through adsense etc

Personal advice to you - DON'T waste your money buying traffic. This traffic doesn't convert and usually quality is very low. Better try AdSense or some of the CPA networks, much better way to drive quality traffic.

Thanks, for the replys guys, I need some traffic to my sites, but I'm still not sure should I go with the people who provide the traffic service. Ill give ita try for 5 bucks I guess, it should hurt, and I'll see how many of them will convert into a real members. If none then I'll never do it again.

@Kelseo any particular CPA network you would recommend?

I'm one of those who run a legitimate service offering traffic. Unfortunately, a lot of people promising cheap traffic basically use a bot to hit your servers multiple times - this shows up as traffic on your cpanel but doesn't on Google analytics. Whenever you decide to try a service, remember to ask them how it works, and how you can see actual traffic.

Ok, so let say I would like to try your service, how much would I pay for 1k visits, and from where whould they come from? I need specific traffic that comes only from the Netherlands. Could you provide it? How much would it cost?

    My friend,

The most common form of brokered traffic that is not simply bots using a masked referrer is coming to you from redirects of expired domains. When a user follow a link to a site that no longer exists, a redirect script brings them to you instead. There are 100,000's of such sites. This is how you can get semi-targeted traffic. If you have a site selling photography equipment, you can have your redirects be from users looking to for "technology" "online shopping" etc. and not "pharma" or "legal" general queries.

So while this traffic is much better than just bots, of course conversion rates are very very low. Imagine you are the user, and you were looking for site A, but instead saw site B.... now if site A and B are relatively similar, you might stick around to purchase something, but chances are you will simply click "back".

That's how brokered traffic works. It has its place. Some sites do very well with it, but you have to put yourself in the place of the user and ask yourself if this is something that would work on you.

    Cheers.

Why do not you try facebook.

It is the best tool to target people in your country or local area.

Facebook is great for traffic, but also consider the limitations of the advertising which mainly focuses on pictures. Unless you have the right pics, its a matter of conversions.

I'm not a huge fan of social media as a marketing strategy, especially Tweeter due to its limitations. I tried facebook but it was quiet hard to build a solid base of people who would be interested in the services we provide. I will try it again but I would like to try something else alongside, so that I could get some sort of comparison with my previous strategies, and see which one is working for us.

Couldn't agree more. Buying traffic is a total waste of time. Adwords, AdCenter, social media sites, classifieds - will give you real traffic and real conversions.

I'm sorry, but I think it's against forum rules to promote my service here.

Usually they only two types of traffic where they hire group of peoples and click to your site or they submit your sites where people click on your ads, video or website to get paid .
And another one is bot .

So you can notice that most of them are not quality traffic , so it would be better to spend those money on marketing campaign or advertise campaign to get traffic.
