What Does Everyone Think Of The New Digital Point Forum?

I like the new design. It is beautiful and modern, and the site definitely needed an update. However, the established members issue bothers me. I love posting contests and hiring designers for quick projects, but now I can't do this.

I do think this site needed an update for sure, and I'm mostly pretty happy about it.

I like it. This is rare when such big changes happen all at once and that I find many things which are an improvement. Of course I have had to adapt and nobody likes that very much, but even if I still know my way around a lot less than before, the whole thing looks nicer and it is fast also.
Also I'm very happy about the steps taken to limit the garbage and dumb third world members.
So overall it's all good.

 

Didn't liked the marketing area & secondly speed is little bit slow when i refresh the page rest everything is tip top.

 

Speed is very slow but as its in beta stage I think everything will be solved.

 

Hopefully, my main wish is to just find a reasonable mod. I want to post my offers here again but can't until I get some likes so I'm pretty much just aimlessly posting on various threads trying to contribute for I don't know how long until I can post again.

 

What exactly is "a reasonable mod"? Would you care to elaborate, this could prove interesting.

I don't like this new system about the likes. I have contributed plenty already and now I can not start a thread anymore in buy & sell.

 

I really enjoy it! It's actually faster than the old forum. Less cluttered.. the design is easy on the eyes plus "Change is always good". I know a lot of people are usually just uncomfortable right off the bat when something is new that is why new threads from other members bearing complaints are spurting every now and then.

But I really believe that this was done for a purpose.. that is to improve the overall performance of DP..

 

the new design its clean but the itrade thing makes it harder to know if we are dealing with trusted ppl or not

 

For page loading speed might be there is some problem at your side.
Hence its all right and quickly open all pages.

 

Being honest here..
I love the new layout and rules.
I remember back few months ago I didn't want to come here because the looks were kinda sloppy.

 

The interface is great, I really like it. It's frustrating that some of the forums I've posted on previously are not available to me now (but hopefully I'll get the "Likes" soon enough by joining in and chatting on the SEO and Social Media forums)

I understand why this has been done though....get rid of the time-wasters and scammers. Never a bad thing.

 

A reasonable one would be a mod that can explain to me exactly the reason why rolling back access for good and steady users/members for years is a good thing. Like I stated before, if it was a problem of infractions or a past history of unhappy customers etc, then I would understand, but sitting around waiting for "likes" is a turn off.

Like I said I mostly came here to hire other members for gigs, it kind of makes it pointless when I can go and do that much more easily on other forums, and its also annoying that I want to post updated offers of offers I have previously posted. Not to mention "likes" is such a silly thing.

I've been a contributing member since 2007 and have 1 like, thats supposed to be my fault? I don't post enough? People don't like the info I put out? This isn't facebook. For me this forum is here for doing business with people all over the world. I'm not here to get into long talks or social threads. I'm here to find and provide legit services, and it feels like I'm being punished for others spamming or whatever reason they created this policy when I've done nothing wrong (outside of a post or two in the wrong section) in all my years being a member.

 

They don't have time for that. You know how many Infractions/bans get handed out a day? They can't spend their entire day explaining in detail to everyone that gets one because they don't read OR understand the rules. It is what it is. Move on and go get some likes or get a premium membership until you have enough likes.
