Can you be more specific on what policy it is that you don't like, and what you would change it to.

What don't you like? If you elaborate, other members can perhaps give you advice.

Notice the people complaining or most of them complaining are the ones with under 3 likes? It seems those people just can't post quality replies on here to gain likes. I could be wrong but this just a thought.

Bingo!.....And there you have it. "most people are here for the market" and don't give anything back to the site. Solution>>>>come for the market *and* give something back to the site........simple.

I'm not trying to flame here, but why make it more like facebook when there already is a facebook? I also don't get your reference of simple and practical - what's not simple and practical about using a forum and following rules. Why not build DP around a a forum where people can share [quality] knowledge and also offer their services for profit?

My advice to you would be just to use facebook since it is more inline with what you want.

So in that case you should make a suggestion to build themes or the ability to customize the look of DP. You could even ask for a FB theme or create one of your own. Complaining just confuses people and leads to flame wars.

WAR!? i think you're over estimating the situation and it's not complaining i think it's more giving an opinion and making a discussion (i think every body got the right to do)

    "flame war" not war war...

I don't claim to be an authority on anything, but my level and diversity of education helps me determine the difference between complaining and well structured arguments (logical arguments not argument arguments). The first clue to your complaint is the word "hate" and the second part is "can we change that?" Hate starts arguments and not discussions and your request to change doesn't leave much for the reader to discuss with only an answer of yes or no. Your stance on the subject is obvious and bias (an ingredient of a complaint). Maybe restructuring your "opinion" to actually prompt discussion might be the better way to go.

    Well you are wrong :)
I have lots of likes and I don't like the new change (I guess this is not a new theme, more than new bulletin board). I can't say, I hate this, it is too much, I am just not feeling comfortable with this change.

I also agree that this new system of likes is absolutely rubbish. There were some problems in older versions but new version has introduced a lot more

The "search in subforum" was a nice VB feature, xenforo (if I'm not wrong) doesn't have.
The subscribed threads page of VB is more looks much better than the alerts pages (IMO it looks messed up)
Why do I have to be obligated to put a buy/sell tag in front of the thread tittle when I am giving something for free at cheap stuff?
Those messages (mostly error messages) that pop ups are disturbing.
I can't post a links which are not actual sites such as http:// www. example.com which is a domain created to give example links.
In the user profile there is not an option to show started threads
I can list more if I think a bit :p

    I agree on the sub-forums.

Alerts are not (necessarily) your subscribed threads. If you want to look at your subscribed threads, use the Watched Threads link in the pop-up menu on your username: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/watched/threads

Forced tags in B/S/T have nothing to do with XenForo, that was a change on our end (which we would have done if staying on vBulletin too).

What messages are you getting that pop up?

Links to non-existant sites is nothing to do with XenForo, that's something we do and is custom to our setup (also would work that way if we were on vBulletin still).

You can view started threads from a user profile on the "Information" tab.
