Just whenever I think I can leave Adbrite Ads running on my site I find my pages are not loading due to the Adbrite servers being hosed. My leader banner is near the top of the page so nothing loads below it if Adbrite is messed up. Anyone else notice this today? I was thinking perhaps there is a workaround but I notice sometimes the Ads do display they are really messed up. I suppose there would be no check for that. Perhaps it is time to experiement with one of the others providers here. I already have Adwords but looking for a second one. Any recommendations similiar to Adbrite but with better reliability?
Yep. I just removed adbrite ads from my website. My site was taking a while to load until I removed the adbrite ads.
I called them after about 4 hours of them being hosed just to be sure it what not an isolated case. They person I spoke to knew they were down but had no ETA when they would be back. Checking now however it seems to be fine. But my stats do not seem to have updated yet.
Are there any tricks to load the adbrite ads last, or maybe even in some kinda iframe so that they do not slow your site down like this? I think my site might be getting slowed down from those adbrite banners.
Haha I just was looking for confirmation from people who actually have used the trick. It was just something that popped into my head.
