very unfortunate, I was assuming they may pay, if they do not pay to there publishers simply we can say they scammed publishers.
money comes and goes. not a big deal for the cash, but its pity to see a such company have to use this kind of low profile method to scam the user. not even leave a notice in their site? I hope someone who is living in the US will report this to the police or the authority to give them a headache. this is simply a deception.
I've always been paid by Adbrite since like, 3 years now. Something big might be wrong. Let's wait for some days before judging anything.
Oops, I just read it on a news site. It's sad to know that. I had around 100$ pending to be paid. I hope we get that, else they're gonna have a very bad last impression on everyone.
yeah hopefully but i dont think they will otherwise they should leave the site open at least or a notice page. they planned this for few months already because many others didnt get pat since december. all matured payment pended for 3 months for me
well... this is bad. someone living in the US. please do something about it. if involve many members, authority have to act on it for public concerns. im not a lawyer but all i know is that they know they are shuting the business without arranging the payment. this is illegal. this is not a bankruptcy. those money belong to us. so this will imply to... http://definitions.uslegal.com/d/deception/
It seems pretty shocking that they have just closed down before paying their publishers what they are owed. Presumably they have charged the advertisers their fee's, so if they aren't paying on the share to the publishers that does indeed seem like fraud. I applied to join AdBrite last year but they didn't like my website. I was kind of upset by how they treated me, but now I think they did me a huge favour! :^O
If they simply removed the site without any message or notice about payment then I doubt they will pay and as per my experience usually when company closed like that they don't pay so may be just move on to another good provider these things does happen
They sent emails out to their partners and told everyone they was closing on Feb 1. You all should of received an email. Adbrite has always been legit so I am sure they will pay... sooner or later.
Yeah but the site is status 404. not little bit suspicious? happened to adengage before but they didnt just shut down a site like this.
This is what i received from Adbrite ( I signed up as an advertiser about a couple of years before )!!! Dear adBrite Advertiser, Over the last few weeks, adBrite and its management have been evaluating the go-forward plan for the business. Given market conditions and certain financial liabilities, in working with our lenders, we have decided to cease operations on Feb 1, 2013. This is a difficult decision for all of us at adBrite. However, after much deliberation this seems to be the best course of action despite the impact it will have on all the employees, clients and partners who helped build this business. There will be a team in place as needed to assist with winding down your campaign, and final reporting and invoicing. Thank you for being part of the adBrite community. This is pretty bad for internet. They scammed 3 months of publisher earnings and living freely and openly somewhere in US. It's a slap on face for US law. Someone responsible must take action against this. If not, i'm pretty sure it'll be followed by many closing companies in the future.
