How many posts do you need before you can make threads in this section?

I don't see that part anywhere on the page..

 

Extra privileges that you get when you become an established member:

• You can Like content
• You can create threads in the Marketplace area.***
• You can participate in areas that are problematic at times (for example Politics & Religion).
• You can post links (links are nofollow).
• You can have a signature (links are nofollow).
• You can set your home page (links are nofollow).

 

I don't see any Like button or anything

 

You won't be able to see it until you are an established member. but it will be in the bottom right corner of a post next to 'reply'
