I don't know about SocialMonkee. It's not free and it appears to only create links on sites created by SocialMonkee itself. Also, a good portion of those dofollow social bookmarking sites seem to be de-indexed by Google.

Google is only going to get sterner about these link exchanges. Exchanging links is against the whole ethos of Google, and they have made this very clear on innumerable occassions. They want good content to earn backlinks. That way, the concept of backlinks is valid. Anything else is gaming their SERPs, and they are hammering you now for it. If you use link exchanges, or cruddy spammer tools like senuke, expect to get dumped on from a great height. Maybe not today, but soon, and for the rest of time.

Was wondering why you think senuke is so crappy? It does what it says it does and they always keep up with current seo practices. It's not meant for you to rank well for competitive keywords, it's meant to dominate weak keywords. Doesn't matter if you use automated software or manually post every link if you suck at seo then you will get slaped. it's not the software it's the user.

Senuke, and other spammer tools of that ilk attempt to game the SERPs by generating loads of 'unearned' backlinks. Google demonstrated very clearly last year that they can now statistically differentiate between earned and unearned links.

That's one of the main reasons so many spam sites dropped out of the index... their backlinks have been discounted (point of order, they are still IN the index, just not ranking for anything). The other main reason, of course, is that Google can now detect spun text, and senuke etc tries to 'fool' Google by hooking in the best spinner etc.

Needless to say, that only makes it worse - Google for some strange reason don't like wannabee blackhatters trying to pollute their SERPS with hopelessly spun crap, even if that crap happens to have a few easily footprinted backlinks from well documented sources.

As you say, senuke does exactly what it claims to do. It generates backlinks automatically. Unfortunately, Google ignores these spam links now. In fact, they may even be penalizing people who habitually try to 'cheat'. As you also say, doing it by hand is no better ... you need to EARN your backlinks with good original content, not try to fake it anymore. The days of cheating your way to a ranking position are gone, and aren't coming back.

Interestingly, 'Areeb Russell' (he seems to have a bit of a personality problem - he's not quite sure what his name is) has revealed that his next product is... a Wordpress site builder that uses spun scraped content. It runs on his IP via Wordpress MU. Make a wild guess how hard it will be for Google to ban everything on those servers.

Google doesn't mind if you do your own backlinking as long as you don't spam your links. With that said i can take and write out all my articles and load it in to senuke and drip feed the submission to save me a boat load of extra time through the week. That doesn't make me a spammer if i do that. Like you said alot of people who used software like that got hit hard, but alot of them didn't because they understood seo and didn't get greedy. I'm one of them i had 36 micro niche blogs when panda was released and everybody on different forums where freaking out because they couldn't find their site, but all of mine with stood everything google dished out. I don't use automated software anymore because i been fortunate to be able to pay some of my family to work for me but i can't say that link builders suck just the people using them.

I'm afraid the times they are a changin', Michael.

Google DOES mind if you 'build' backlinks. Google have made it very clear that only 'earned' backlinks are going to count from now on. How good they can get at detecting when a link is 'earned' is another question (although objectively, I have to say that it looks as if they are already pretty good at it).

The changes last year were actually the logical conclusion of the processes they started back in 2004 when it became apparent that everyone was 'creating backlinks' rather than creating good content, and letting the content 'earn' backlinks by itself (which was the original point of Google, and why it was such a great search engine till about 2003).

First they made it clear that reciprocal linking would be discounted. No one paid any attention, so they went and did it. Reciprocal links now are 100% worthless. Then they decided 'linkwheels' were 'naughty', and wham, those no longer work either. Now they have said clearly that if you build backlinks, whether by hand or by software, you're trying to manipulate the SERPs, which is defintely against their terms, and they respond appropriately (discounting is the default reaction, massive site penalties stretching across any domains they can tie you to are the worst case scenario).

So I'm afraid that even if your own niche sites are holding steady :)-), don't expect the situation to continue if they decide that you are trying to engineer a rise in the SERPs by faking backlinks. Go search for stuff on 'the death of link building' if you're interested.

And BTW, tools like senuke leave a MASSIVE footprint that Google can spot easily. You might as well walk around with a big hat on saying 'F*ck You, Google, I is blackhatter - all your links is belong me'.

You can customize senuke to post to any site you want. You can also train it to post on networks that it wasn't already set up for. So leaving a footprint is yet another rookie mistake. Reciprocal links and link wheels have been outdated for years now. On the other hand things like link baiting and guest blogging not only work great but are encouraged by matt cutts. Plus social signals play a big role in rankings now and that is just as easy if not easier then backlinking to fake.

Great content is a no brainer. Great onpage seo has always been important and for people who do there own backlinking only need to know that there is no such thing as off page seo on the internet. Every link they drop is on a page and should be treated as if it was their own. This is way guest blogging is so valuable because google knows that most blog owners are going to be willing to let someone else come on their site just to post shit content.

But i been off googles tit for a while now and they only account for 20% or so of my incoming traffic. What i learned from watching people get hit so hard by one company is to treat my marketing efforts like i treat my investments and spread my marketing over many different sources of traffic so if google ever did decide they didn't like my site for whatever reason then i won't be flat on my ass. I shouldn't have much to worry about seeing that most of my web properties are well aged now and hold good authority.

If your sites are established, and high quality, and hold authority, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. That's almost a definition of a good site :)

However you train it, you can't train it to generate a link profile that can fool Google, who have a copy of the entire web in their db, and effectively infite computing cycles to analyse it. Feel free to post up a site that is ranking for a money term that has got there using senuke.

Sure just google best makeup brush set and see one of my squidoo lens is number one. i spent 15 buck on fiverr one gig was a senuke blast, one was a link pyramid, and the last one was a blog network. Go to squidaholic and put the url to my lens in and see that i get good traffic for using methods that don't work.

Plus using private proxies and never using the same link profile over and over you don't have to worry because google isn't some all seeing eye. See blackhatters and google are like drug dealers in police. no matter what the police do no matter how many times they change the law to stop drug dealing there still bound by there own system and our always the one chasing the individuals who don't live by there rules. Drug dealers just get more complex and creative. Same holds true for people who try to exploit weaknesses in googles algo.

Congratulations on making a squidoohoo still work. I remember when you could rank same day for almost anything. That was a glorious 6 weeks. Then it got harder. Then almost impossible unless you were already established. BTW, re: your 'established authority' lens on the topic

    best makeup brush set

wow. Even if I offer to pay $1000 a click, Google can't get me more than 5 clicks a day. Now THAT'S some serious money making search term. I'm guessing Squiddoo had to commission a new server to handle all the extra traffic that search term generates.

Even if I include the entire adsense network, and pay anything they like, they can't get me more than 200 page impressions per day.

Got any more? A few more like this and we'll be able to afford a cinema ticket.

    Once a year. :)

Piss-taking aside, I used to hold the same point of view about the evolutionary war between the Google and the spammers. I now agree with (for example) semoz, noble samurai etc that it's effectively over. The tech has advanced to the point where it's getting comparable to sending a human to have a look at the site. If it wouldn't fool a human, it probably won't fool Google's algo anymore. So it doesn't matter what the spammers try anymore, basically there's bouncers on the door with instructions to deny entry even to possibly legit customers, if they have even the teensy-weensy-teeny-tiniest bit of suspicion. As the doorguards tighten up, the cost of blackhatting rises too. soon there'll be no point, it will make more sense to spend the resources creating good content, and then the web will be a better place for everyone.

That's the whole point of senuke is to find easy keywords to rank and ether A. create your own website or B rank a page from a well established web site like squidoo. You never point links to your money site. And that's one squidoo lens that makes a couple hundred bucks every month not bad for 30 minutes of my time and 15 bucks invested and it isn't even my best lens on that account. I get around 800 hits on that page a week. And you looked at google's traffic estimator. It estimates it's not that accurate.

It ranks for tons of longtail keywords. My best preforming lens on that account does even better.

And they are money because i target buy keyword that convert well. Traffic is useless if it does convert.
Show me a better ROI that anyone can afford. Maybe you shouldn't dog something like senuke when you don't know nothing about it or how it works. I've tested the same type of backlinking that you, seomoz or who ever else you blindly follow said is effectively over.

And it's highly doubtful that spamming or blackhat techniques will get to expensive since it is a very lucrative model. People make millions doing it then reinvest there money into more legit sources of income. Software is becoming more affordable to create.People spend more money on resreach then they do on blackhat methods. Only thing that might happen is people will finally stop telling the world how the got number one on google. Because just like with the police without a snitch they don't have shit to go on.

Right after the big g updates that shocked the im world happened some people didn't go running to their blogs to tell the world that google's got us all pegged so stop trying rank on your own it's all over. Instead they set back to see what did work. Now instead of me having to get a hundred link and then a thousand link to that hundred i can just get a bunch of facebook like some tweets, Maybe a few pins here there with the addition of quality links and your a player again. Wow and we didn't even need scooby and the gang to help solve that mystery.

If you're making a couple hundred a month from a term as uncompetitive as that, I'd suggest you keep quiet about it!!!

PS - although I totally believe you are the owner of that lens, there will probably be other cynical peeps on the thread who won't believe you. Maybe if you make a change to the lens to prove you own it, we can then take a closer look at why it's ranking, even if best makeup brush set is a totally non-competitive term.

PSPS this thread is now ranking number 1 on Google for best makeup brush set senuke. There's been no backlink building, no seo of any kind. It's THAT uncompetitive.

Like i said that's the point of senuke is to dominate keywords with low competition. And giving the fact that high comp keywords can take a year or better and cost lots of money i'm sure the field of dreams theory you rely on" if you build it they we come" isn't applicable on this thread. You know giving that it is asking about free shit might suggest that she may not be in the market of spending time and money on a hope that she might someday rank.
Your whole argument that doing your own backlinks doesn't work has no base to stand on. Your references are two sites that rely on googles existence and making sure that you don't know how to rank in google without them, cause if you did there would be no need to pay them for their service. By your logic I could go to your web site and spam links all day and knock you off of your position. You talk shit about senuke and you don't even know how it works. And if you knew shit about seo then you go ahead and try to take my spot on that lens with you method let’s see how long it take. Yea you will get there some day after you find people to link back to you tweet or maybe like it on face book, and after you final wished your way to some page rank you will finally have that spot that took me a hour of my life to and about 5 bucks to just steal right back from you.
As far as me proving what i do or don't own i'll do you one better i'll open a thread and make a case study from scratch and build all the links myself using senuke and using black hat methods so everyone on dp can see your a fucking idiot. But since you can't seem to read i'll go head a end this pointless chatter.

Now to try and add value to the actual topic of this thread. Free baclinking tools suck, there ether limited in what they can do or they produce useless links that at best will only help get you indexed faster. But if your determined to get free software that works then just search for the best black hat forum, there are plenty of good clean cracks you can find. Just be sure that others in the forum have used the software and that it's working properly. If you learn the software and make some money be sure to go bye the software out right so you can be certain that you get all of the future updates and plus it will run smoother.

Regardless of the software you use their are some thing you must know about backlinking and seo in general before you can expect to see results. First is your page it's self and does it have good onpage seo? Second you never spam any links to your money page.

To check there is a free tool called website auditor. This tool will help you out alot so give it a go and aim for a score of 70 or higher don't try to get a 100 because you can't. Not sure why but you just can't.

Another great tool that will help you at both your onpage and off page content is a site called grammarly. It's free and help you avoid the risk of being flagged for spun or poor content. Did i forget to mention that it didn't cost you 97 bucks for this magical tool that you must have to rank. Here's a video i found on you tube.
Another thing to consider using is Microsoft word. It’s will highlight a sentence that is not well structured. Just rewrite the sentence till it’s correct.
Now before you start your backlinking make sure the your internal link structure is right as this is probably the most important part of onpage seo second to the content it's self. It's diffidently the most important part for you backlinking efforts as i'll explain.
    Backlinking.
Yea now we get to fire up that software and blast our way to riches right? Not quiet see you never want to post automated links to you main site so for the first step in your backlinking you will have to post some manual links. These are referred to as buffer sites and they preform two main functions one is to pass link juice to your main site and the other is to protect you from getting de-indexed if you do screw something up.
Regardless of what some idiots say you actually can build back links to your website. Now that doesn't mean you can build thousands of links in a short period, It seems to be that it's ok for you to produce about 30 good quality backlink per day per ip address. And most of them shouldn't be on you main url. Instead you should be building your links to your internal pages, if you structured your site correctly then this is going to help later as it builds page rank to the main url by passing link juice to it, making it where you need less links to rank your main page. When building these links try to come up with a list of longtail keyword that a related to your main keyword and use them and a mix of off topic terms such as "click here" or "visit this site" to use as you anchor text. Also make some of your links the url it's self instead of an anchor. Just keep a good mix and you will be fine. If you make 30 links a day try to split those between your pages changing the number of links per page each day.
So to keep things simple let’s say you have a site with only six pages, The main page and 5 internal pages. Ten days have gone by and you have 300 back links pointing to those 5 internal pages like so.
Now in many cases you won’t need that many links it all depends on competition. So know you have 300 White hat backlinks pointing to your sites internal pages that are passing link juice to your home page helping it to rise in the serps for your main keyword and you haven’t even back linked to your main url yet. Plus now those pages are going to start ranking for longtail keywords and bring you some quick traffic. Now time to get ready to link to our main url. To do this you want to use guest blogging and high page rank backlinks. There’s plenty of info online for free so I won’t go into all that let’s get to the part you wanted to know more about.
    Automated linking.
For this example im going to use senuke as reference. There are plenty of tuts that show you how to use senuke so I won’t go into that ether. Instead I’ll show you how to structure your links. First thing to no is what I said about how many links you can build per ip, at best it’s 30 so your going to need what’s called private proxies. You can get five of them on fiverr for a month so that's 5 X 30 = 150 back links a day now. We will divide that amongst 5 of toughs links that will already built bringing us back to thirty. Then we will divide that by the numbers of day we want toughs links to be posted, then this we will drip feed them for ten days making that a total of 15 links a day for one page now do this for all five pages leaving a nice natural link velocity. Link velocity is googles best way of detecting spammers, sudden spike up and down are flags that this isn’t natural so you want a steady amount of links flowing in. Repeat this process every day or two drip feeding the links over different periods of time and you will see serious serp gains. Remember don’t use shit content, the better it is the better your chances are to get indexed. Also try to use a new email and at least 3 profile name for every link campaign you use. If for some reason you get a sudden drop in rankings just go to the links you built manually and remove the link till you see a jump in your rankings again then you know where the source of the problem is and you can reverse engineer your links till you remove the problem.
Also don't worry about ranking for any particular keyword because you will rank for many less competitive words so keep track of how your visitors find you and aim to rank higher for those keywords. The traffic will start poring in and the money will come too. Remember your in this to profit not please fucking google.

    @michael.maricich,

Your post made me thirsty for more link juice :D

I have a question, for how many websites you usually split your link building?
for example if you would had 1 main website that sells a product(software), and say that this product alone would generate you 100-300 backlinks a day by people who install it on their own site, no black hat, how would you combine additional grey-hat methods like you described into the mix? or would you create supportive micro sites that will promote that product, or would you perhaps help your own affiliates of that product to create those micro sites that will generate them income? any ideas?

The reason I asked you to prove you owned the site in question is fairly obvious. Simply upload a new sentence to it. Something like 'michael.maricich loves digital point" or something. After you've done that, we can talk. Although you do remind me of all the people 5 years ago who used to bleat on the forums about how 'you can make money with duplicate content'.

That's a great question. In a perfect setting you would want to have your own network of mini sites that way you have full control of what is posted on each site allowing you to not only make highly relevant content rich sites boosting you up but you also have a chance to rank them for add traffic. Plus you wouldn't have any footprint that someone else can mess up. But don't count out using other web properties like hubpages or squidoo because they get millions of users every month to those sites. Plus sites like squidoo have high page rank and if you know how to leverage it you can get pr your self really fast. That's something you can't really do with your own sites, they take time to build up but when they do you have something great to give up a quick boost until others start to link back.

If you got the money and means to build your own private network do it. it's what the big boys do and here's why. You see all search engines exist on the principle of networking they function the same way as a website. Whats a website? It's a series of pages linking to each other in the form of some hierarchy, a bunch of small topic pages that support a main page and overall theme. This is the back bone and bases of how all search engines work. A private network has and always and will be the best option for ranking well in all search engines the only reason people get in hot water over it is be cause they ether selling links or buying links on a network. Can't blame google there as your taking money out there pocket. It's like moonshine, the government can't tax it then it's illegal but pay your does and you can make all the moonshine you want.

None of that is black hat. What google don't want is people filling up there search engines with crap just to gain rank on one site. Almost every new site that moves up in the search engine link back to itself some how. If you provide relevant content and contribute something useful then you will be rewarded. You also don't have to use automated software in a "blackhat" manner ether just use it to help you save some time so you can enjoy some of your life.

Think about like this. You do market and keyword research right? Maybe you use market samurai of micro niche finder. Why do you use these tools? To get the most information you can so you know what to target and what keyword would be best to rank for. Know you are using information to better position yourself in the searcher engines. Is that black hat or just simply applying information to best befit your pocket? And even tho you can find all of that if manually it takes a long time so instead you use a software that speeds everything up so is the software junk if i don't understand how to make it work right? No

    @passgoseo:
The burden of proof isn't on me. I'm not the one that said shit that's been proving to work doesn't. I'm not the one dogging a software i have no clue how to use. i'm not the one saying that google don't allow you to promote your site via link back to it when that has never been said by google ever. And i never said that good content wasn't important and never suggested that any at any time should ever use dup content. It's always been bad seo and it's those people who got knocked off. Good onpage seo has become more important lately but it's still one of the least deciding factors in terms of rank simply because it's still the easiest thing for a webmaster to do.

I joined this site like a week ago because the forums i been on for years always said stay away from dp their all a bunch of idiots. Now that was somewhat of a unfair judgement because after a month of lurking around i came to realize that those people they keep taking about are ether miss guided or raped up in stupid theory. i hope to help change that by showing what works.People say shit about black hat and don't even understand what black hat is. Gaming a search engine isn't blackhat, Its nether immoral nor is it unethical. your not stealing or ripping people off. Creating a back door software that takes peoples credit cards is black hat. Doing something google don't like is blackhat. Fuck google they been going behind peoples back gathering information about them so they can fatting there investors wallets. Is that not blackhat? Is that not unethical? All i do is apply knowledge to better position myself to feed my 4 girls and beautiful wife. Doing thing the blackhat way allowed me to get up enough money to build a business and bye my mom a house. That would have never happened doing it googles way.

I'm afraid it is. You're the one who claimed to own this best makeup brush set senuke squidoo lens. Simply add the string "michael.maricich loves digital point" to the page. If you really own the site, it will take you all of 15 seconds to log in and do it.

And then I'll happily talk about why it's ranking for an uncompetitive term.

And BTW, of course some blackhat still works. Make the change to the lens and I'll argue that one with you too.

One nobody said it was competitive, two you said to show you a site ranking for a money term which is a buyers keyword not a general keyword using senuke, and last you never said shit about who it should belong to to begin with. It had notthing to do with it. And now that you have notthing to add that's useful you dicide that i should join some childish game of show you mine and i'll show you yours. Well i pass sents it's the only way you will talk and i rather you just shut the fuck up and do this forum a favor. You ether are to stupid to provide people with anything useful or you just want to run up the thread count to promote your site. But nobodies going to buy from someone who dog shits on other peoples software when they charge for shit they can get for free. And look back at what you said dummy you did say that posting your own links don't work.

Now i will add even more useful information for those you are looking for a free way to help them get started making money online.

    Youtube marketing the blackhat way!
    Steps to take:
1.) open a blogger account (google owns this)
2.)open a youtube account (google owns this too)
3.) Do some keyword research with a free keyword tool (guest what google has one)
Now that you found a market with little or lots of comp and doesn't matter we want to head over to you guest it google. Type in the keyword or keywords and ripp of the content most related to your market and add it to your blogger blog.( erite something original it's up to you) The go and sign up for a bunch of cpa networks.(not know what a cpa network is just google it) now fing a product offer that people in your market might like once you found something head over to youtube. Now at youtube search for your offer on there and see what videos show up for sereach term. How many views are these videos getting if it's alot then you have a winner.
So now you have a blog with content and a offer that relates to the content add the offer to the blog as a banner and a call to action on every single page at the of each post. 5 pages of good content is more then enough since you don't want people to stay on your site you want them to click on the free offer your promoting.
Now lets make a video for free with animoto. Again go to google and find some related images to your offer 5 or 6 will do just make sure they are good attractive pics. Make a short 15 to 20 second video showing your offer and save the video making sure it's file name is your target keyword. Now up load the video to you tube making sure that your keyword is in the title,at the very beginning and very end of a 250 word description. After the first keyword in the description place the url of your blog so people see it when the video is playing. Now make sure the first tag is your keyword and the rest are related keywords.
Now your video is seo'd the fuck out we need to get some views(for free of course). To do this we go to vagex where you install their app for firefox or ie if you use it. It will give you credits for every vid you watch but don't worry just run it and it when you go to bed and you will wake up with hundreds of credit you can use to get views to your site, also you can get likes and comments. Do that for a few days and see how many you get. These well help you rise quickly in youtubes rankings witch is going to help you get the video on the first page of google for the keyword term you picked.
Now go get that cracked software and blast links at a steady pace till you on top with that video. A good rule of thumb is to post 25% of your views for the day before. So if you got 100 views yesterday then post 25 links to it.
Once you make your fist check with a few of these videos start buying .com's so people will be more likely to click your links.
Put this to action and see how much you can make, but remember this is just a end to a means. The real money online is to have your own product so take a hour each day trying to create something to sell info products are the easiest since everbody knows something that someone else needs to know. one hour everyday for a year and u have 365 hour logged in creating a kickass product that if sold right will set u free.
