Hi DP Family, I sometimes make blog comments to blogs I actually like and leave my web address. However, for the sake of marketing with this approach, about how many blogs do you comment on per keyword? Of that number, how many of them would you recommend in one day? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance
I wouldn't use keyword optimized anchor text but your name or your website name. After recent Google over optimization updates, it's the best way to go IMO. The same applies for guest posting (using your url as anchor text), forum signatures, etc...
Providing you keep your keyword optimized posts below 30% if your total anchor pool, you should be absolutely fine. It's worth taking a look at existing comments on each blog to see whether these optimized names are getting approved through; as some blog owners will mark any posts with optimized anchors as SPAM, regardless of how relevant and contributing your comment is. With that said though, anyone who is not optimizing any of their keywords is certainly missing out. Providing you are commenting on niche related blogs and adding content to the discussion, it is NOT against Google's TOS to optimize your anchors, providing it is not excessive. WebDev
Not sure where you're getting your information from, but it's certainly not right! Niche relevant, anchor related backlinks from blog comments on high quality, authority sites are still excellent for your SEO efforts. WebDev
I would suggest that you must use keywords for which you want better search engine position as link. As number of back-links with a keyword to a site increases, ultimately it improves the position on search engine.
I frequently comment on blogs within my site's niche but I do not refer to my site all the time. Only when I have content on my site that can provide the user with more information do I link back to my site using appropriate anchor text, if possible. Most of the time I just leave my name and the URL to my site on my signature. I think it's a common misconception in blog commenting that you always need to leave a URL to your site with an anchor text containing your keyword. Blog commenting can provide you with backlinks and traffic, but more importantly, it is a way to interact with potential customers. It's a way of building your site's online reputation.
Blog commenting is to write good quality content, it helps increase traffic to your website and on bloggers website. One should write good quality reply in comments and leave a URL for reference.
