Quitting my day job was the best decision I ever made. Your not going to make it very far in this game if you still have to work a 9-5, and somebody ielse is calling all your shot for you. At some point it comes down to do you really believe in yourself and what you are doing. If so.... time to get serious.

 

Thats it, it is wise decision to concentrate more on your own work rather than working for someone else, if one have such opportunity, he / she should benefit from it.

 

Same thing for me, my wife was shocked 8 months ago when I announced to close my construction business. But it feels way good to be at home

 

at first its always quite confusing but once you take the decision and dedicate your time to develop your online business, its gets cool.

 

Yes, dating sites make lots of money. If you optimised them for search engines, you will be making fortune out of it.

I was away from the IM game for a long time but as the industry corrected itself I realized it had more to offer as did I. As a professional writer and illustrator I had to see for myself that these skills could be put to good use and I could teach others. Having tried this and that technique and bought a dozen or so "how to" WSOs and chatted with the professionals I realize that creating great products, doing good freelance work, building a list were the fundamentals. Making good allegiances too. You can also get a lot of great stuff through 'barter'. Barter is still one of the most powerful trading tools you can have. If I see someone with a product but the price is too steep, I often offer to do a free cartoon or logo or write something in exchange for it. I rarely get turned down.

Recently major health issues kept me away from IM but I had had a product or two and some affiliates that continued to generate capital. That was a big surprise but after reading your post it shows me now I really have to knuckle down. Stay out of arguments and produce, provide, and promote. The Three Ps as I call them. I'll be looking for people to JV with too. I can tell you, I was down in the dumps, hit hard, real hard and it was like the universe was taking me on to a fist fight but great inspirational posts like yours sure picks a guy up. Thanks!

Now that you've resigned for 10 months how are you doing and have you quadrupled your income goal as originally planned?

 

well, I am doing extremely well as my income has gone more than double and there are still room for improvements. I am glad that i made a wise decision on right time.
