Established Membership – Total Letdown

    Hello,

I see that a lot has changed in Digitalpoint. There's a lot to get used to.

One thing that bothers me a lot is the established membership status and its requirements. I would have thought that financial contribution aka Premium Membership would be counted "as a useful contribution" to the site, but I guess I was wrong.

I have seen a lot of useful posts around, even ones giving straight-forward & conclusive answer to the OP but those have not received any likes, maybe a post saying thanks instead if even that. Let's be honest – the marketplace is the biggest drawing card of this forum (compare the number of threads/posts in this subsection). You are driving people away by giving them indeterminate ways to get to be able to post on the marketplace. There's absolutely no guarantee that posting useful content gets you to an established membership.

Is a user with friends who like random posts better than a user that posts useful content yet doesn't get any likes for that? What does the system help to achieve anyways? I don't see it making anything for the better.

Premium Membership does let you in to B/S/T completely without being "established".

I wish it did, but it doesn't.
That's what I get in Templates section: (You have insufficient privileges to post here. [why?])

I don't know if it's true or not, but my solution would be to make the like link more visible because many people doesn't even know it's there.

Premium Membership does allows you to post in BST as stated above by Shawn. And as mentioned over here - https://forums.digitalpoint.com/help/established

There maybe something else wrong which is not allowing you to post.

I seem to be able to post in other Marketplace subforums, but not into Templates subforum.

Every template can't be sold there. It's not a good alternative for everything and doesn't justify closing down the subforum.

What kind of template can not be sold as a digital good?
