How we can give Like to other and how we can we get "Likes" to ourselves ?

I doesn't see any option in the posts for "Like" feature.

https://forums.digitalpoint.com/help/established - You must be a member for over 48 hours and have 3 or more "likes" (from different established members), to give a post a "like". Once you're an established member, the "like" link will be displayed next to someone's post.

You can get likes yourself by being helpful.

Side note, if you ask users to like your posts because you are trying to become established quicker, that is the quickest way to a ban (that's covered in the rules btw in case you haven't read them).

Should this not only apply to relatively new members? You should take other things into account too IMO. Number of posts, member since __, etc. I've racked up over 100 decent posts and have been here since 2008, and have also posted stuff in the marketplace before, so when I logged on today hoping to put a new site up for sale I was a tad annoyed.

I think the like system is a decent way to improve/clean up the community but maybe the system needs to be a little different.

I still don't get it, "You must be a member for over 48 hours and have 3 or more likes", I've been here since 2009. I don't see any option in the posts for "Like" feature.
Anyone help me how to get "like" ??

You're member but in vBulletin, it seems you didn't have any reps and now in new system you must need at least 3 different members likes.

To get likes, you must need to make quality posts which helps members and have something to share to community rather than random posts! If your posts help someone, you'll surly have like for you.

Any idea which the best forum would be to give value to established members? Had a look round the SEO and social media forums and it's just full of repetitive stuff posted by new members.

Thanks so much for complete guidance.
It seems to be some hard though to get "Likes", but I'll try my best to contribute something useful to this site.

That's not hard to figure out. I am knowledgable in 2 areas, namely writing and advertising. I have NEVER posted in Advertising as that forum would get me banned within a couple of days as it is not for me. So.....I tend to post on Copywriting forum and I received a like 2 days ago.
    See?.....not so difficult at all.

Thanks. I've given it a go, but it just seems like time wasted when i could have been doing actual work.

It's ok for regular forum users as they seem to post a lot on here anyway, as indicated by our post counts considering we joined at the same time!

Yes I have averaged 4 posts a day and it has paid off bigtime. I have been able to find an SEO and hire 2 writers because of this. Contacts is what it's all about. I've also increased business for the firm I work for which has ended up increasing my commissions.
Being friendly and outgoing on DP has it's advantages. My total commitment on here averages perhaps 30-60 minutes per day.......well worthwhile.:)

Some mod there said: "spread your knowledge". I feel so clueless :p To get 3x Like looks harder than buy Premium user. As I see my most favouritest off-topic section Games is full of non-liked guys :)

I've received 2 likes in 2 days. It wasn't hard I merely gave my opinions and tried to help. Why not try this also and see if you can up your likes?
Try and help a newbie to navigate the site or give some tech advice that will help someone.

The operative word here is "trying". In my case at least while I'm here I give advice on what I feel I am knowledgeable in. It is by no means a conscious effort to get likes. Obviously with more than three I do not require them.
I check my e-mails from my office at work and when I receive an alert from DP I sometimes respond to it. So jimmyn115, I can be at work and on here as well. That is called multitasking.:)
