Hi Guys i am an agent in real estate company and also promote some of my real estate projects websites on my own behalf. some time before my sites were doing well in ranking in SERP. but from two days before my ranking astonishingly dropped from top 10 to 100th or 200 places. I don't understand the exact reason behind that, is there any update from google since 19 january 2013 as i have not applied any seo trick with my sites.I am not getting why ranking suddenly dropped of many keywords of my all sites .
Google can penalize your site if you are using wrong SEO technics (you wrote you promote your sites). Too many links in short time can result in penalize of your site. Also there is option that someone defame your site with black hat links. Anyway google changing SERP positions everyday, try check your positions again in next few days maybe it is only fluctuations and you will be back soon. Good luck
Focl is right on this one, you have either been detected for trying to manipulate your SERPS-ranking or some other folks managed get ahead of you happens easily if you forget to monitor your competitors!
If you have been maintaining your rate of building backlinks (white hat), been posting regularly, and everything else, then either your competitors have increased in their productivity or Google's doing a 'dance'. I got that once. I simply continued what I was doing, and within 1 month I got back to the same position. Sometimes, Google just wants to 'test' whether you are just spamming links or that is actually your natural rate of link building
The update happen in last week on 17 Jan, my sites get effected because of that update, if you want to know why your raking has down, add your site in GWT the will help you ..
I believe update is still under way or effected some sites only - not all of them .As I havent noticed any changes for the last several months.

I can't know unless I analyze your site... One way you can change your site issues is by creating a Google + account to your site and creating an Authority out of your site by using SB sites... You probably need more facebook likes, tweets on your site... Remember social signals are almost 80% of Google's ranking factors now very important
Updates from google are continuous.. some larger some smaller. Regardless, a flag could have been raised for any number of reasons, for activities you could have done weeks ago. You could try Web Master Tools, and message google to see if they would provide more info, but best bet is to hope that this is a temporary slap (1-3) months, and concentrate on paid traffic sources with the hope that rankings will eventually return.
Google always tweaks their algo so you will see your site's ranking fluctuate during the day, or a certain period. But it shouldn't be as drastic as what you have described. You might want to look at your backlinks and see if you have any negative links going back to your site. Hope that helps. Have a good day!
Hey guys thanks for all your replies..As i maintain many sites but all are for natural business not for link building or link farm. May be too much work all together on sites brought drop ranking but i still in doubt it did not happen to me earlier and sudden ranking drop. Please tell me what is GWT and how to use it for my sites
how original is your content, or is it more of the same scrape content that other sites have already gotten credit for? If use content on your site, then make sure it is unique/quality in nature. If you link spam, then do use those silly $10 services that just put you on PR0 sites, do better linkbuilding by using higher quality links such as Wiki, Edu, Gov, or any site google highly loves.... and if you do not feel you done anything wrong, then keep doing what you are doing, or even do it better, and wait; You are the first site to get dumped in rankings.
May be the content used for promotion is not that fresh so that might have affected the rankings, black hat SEO seems to be the culprit here.
Google has been making important changes to their algorithm on a fairly frequent basis. It could also be because one or more links to your site that had been providing a significant amount of PageRank to your site have been removed/deleted, moved to a new, unranked page, or the PageRank of the originating site has dropped (for similar reasons).
i maintain this site http://www.mahagunprojects.co.in/mahagun-mywoods.html few days ago the ranking for keywords Mahagun Mywoods was at 13 and for Mahagun Mywoods Noida Extension was on 31 but suddenly when i checked my ranking on 20 Jan both were NA. There may be lot reason you all mentioned here but how can i find out exact what happened if anyone could suggest after looking at the site please tell me after analyze this site
Google updates occur almost every day, so there have been plenty this month. Most are minor though. Sounds like you've been penalized though if you've had such a big drop. What methods were you using to promote. If you used dodgy backlinks, then that could be the reason.
You will never find out the exact reason. And you won't be able to tell by looking at your site. It is most likely due to off-site reasons. Often dodgy backlinking methods.
