Google Update on 17-Jan-2013?????

One of my niche website was badly affected, though there are no official news from Google!

 

Actually, I don't really care about new Google algorithm. Some of you might not realize about what the purpose of algorithm creation. Google is gonna be a paid search engine in future. There are lots of advertisement at the front page of search result where pushed down your website. This way, business owner have to pay more money for advertisement. In summary, no more free business promotion!

 

However, most of the Google Search Engine Users Nowadays are aware that such Adverts are highlighted and they are more keen to click on the organic searches!! No matter how many years it has to come organic searches will still dominate the search engine

 

I think Google has made a little bit changes in its algorithm, because all users said that everyone has dropped keywords ranking including me.

 

Yup big G update occurred on 17th Jan and as of now this update hit the UK & India region however I'm still waiting to see more news coming in about this update.

 

any idea when google is officially announcing regarding this update?

 

Whats going on with Google. There is no official update and all keywords rank dropped 1st page to N/A.

 

My website's keywords also have drop 1st page to 10th page.

Yes, my keywords also went down on the date of January 18, 2013. Perhaps Google has made some changes in the SERP.
I am thinking that SEO is probably going to be finished. When SEO will finish, then Google will show websites in search according to his own methods.
Because if keywords are going down even after following the new rules of google, then this is the sign of that SEO going to be finished.

Google SERPS change every day nowadays. I have seen new website appearing on the first page for many quires and the sites those where already there moving back to the 5th page or so. This has been happening frequently since December 2012.

As per Barry of Search Engine Land, Google has officially denied any algorithm update on Januray 17th 2013. Mebbe this is the new SEO. Maintain your links everyday to maintain your SERPs. Take your eye of link building and your rankings would be lost to your competitor

So what we can do for recovery?

 

One of the best approaches for this is to identify what caused the shuffle of the SERPs. This can be easily done by doing a competitor backlink analysis. Look for the most recently indexed backlinks for the site that ranks now and find out the strategy that they were using. You cannot mirror what they were doing because if they have performed some spammy strategies and sneaked past Google's eyes, you might get caught . So just follow the safe strategies that they were using. The fact is that you have to do this every month to stay on top

Here i have a same problem. My project keyword is top 10 ranking but now i am not found my keyword in 100? what's the problem? which update is done by google?

 

Google has updated the algorithm & SERP ranking are affected today (Jan-17)
In this google update, Mostly country specific websites are affected most. In country specific searches, local tlds (like .in, .cn, .ca..., www.google.com.ph) were given preference so far. In this update, Google has promoted many .com sites. This is the first observation.

Yes i also found the same problem for my .co.uk website.

And i found that Google now give more importance to .com websites. So you have to do some smart SMO work for your website using Google+. Now you must limited your Offpage activities and must do some quality Off page activities
