It only checks for trophies hourly... so if you haven't visited the site in the last few days, and just now visited and haven't been here for an hour yet...
My two cents: -I don't like the quotation bubbles in posts, they look more important than an actual post. -100 kB limit for images is too low, I had to decrease the quality of the screenshot above (please consider using built-in - but optional - compression) -Current post look is horrible, the default one in vBulletin is much better (example) - for example having a signature right under a post is a bad idea -users' names should be displayed above avatars -links Like, Reply, Report etc. should be somehow highlighted -I don't like new smileys Why did you decide to use XenForo (instead of e.g. free software like phpBB etc.)? Why not just improve vBulletin 4.2 in the first place?
Probably the same reason they were paying for that stupid steaming pile known as vBull -- they're under this nutjob delusion that forum software is actually worth money -- when the paid ones are such absolute train wrecks of ineptitude it's shameful the makers have the cojones to put a price on them. Especially when the default front-end code on software like vBull and Xenforo are so horrifically bad it literally screams "We don't know enough HTML or CSS to be doing this" from top to bottom. As evidenced by the 157k of markup on your typical forum index to deliver 7.37k of plaintext with no real form elements or actual content images... nothing like hundreds of K doing tens of K's job. Of course that Xenforo's website is chock full of marketing scam language ranging from glittering generalities to loaded words, with a few buzzwords thrown in -- we'll probably be seeing a lot more suits unqualified to make decisions on what software to run shoving it down our throats across multiple sites.
@ digitalpoint We lost data also ? I had thread in marketplace of selling my site in sites section, but i can find that thread now. Or you deleted that ?
New system looks good, honest, new smiles are horrible. I am litle bit lost right now, but i think it need some time. This is big change of DP
I just posted on my thread entitled "How do you write when you're not in the mood?" in Copywriters forum. Instead of appearing as the last post it's 7 or 8 back. Must be some sort of glitch.
It's because of this: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/something-wrong-maybe.2628374/#post-18399883
Hey i think Link Exchange section should be opened for all to post i mean there's no trading in terms of money involved.
I signed up just to say I fully agree with 'deathshadow.' Just look at the CSS or unoptimized and unnecessary JS - it's all amateurishness. The layout visually looks nice, but under the trunk it's junk. The owner will have to waste money on extra 'cache servers' to 'optimize' something that was screwed up in the first place (either intentionally, like Wordpress, or not). Now it's clear it's slower than the previous one.
Once the reindexing is and all the back end rebuilds are done, I think you will find this new site faster.
I know a guy who had a popular forum and moved from a 'too simple' forum to the same you moved now - check his Alexa stats. Obviously, he had all old URLs 301-forwarded to the new ones. Initial reaction from users was: 'Wow, what a nice layout, great looking, big plus for the change!' Next same people posted they miss this or that 'simple' feature, that it's not as accessible as before, etc. A few month later - check the stats. DP is probably too big to go this way, but I would be VERY surprised you don't lose substantial amount of users (both new and currently participating) within the next several months.
