Feedback Want To Know Which Forum Software Digitalpoint Uses Now ?

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by shalwan, Jan 20, 2013.

    Hi,

I want to know which forum software digitalpoint uses now, like previously digitalpoint used vbulletin ? i also love the feature of previous forum where we can see how many number of users viewing separate forum like for example

    Forum board 1 - (90 viewing)

The new look is nice but we were addicted to previous look and i think it will take some time to familiar with new design.

    Thanks.

XenoForo is hell lot better than Vb itself. One of the main reasons why Vb sales went down. No more database shitty errors. Good work Shawn.

Btw .. I think the member stats in the posted message should also show the registered date of member instead of going to his/her profile to know about it.

Registered date still tells how long the member has been around which also shows the experience level. I know alot of kiddies these days posting in Google/Yahoo/Intro forums to increase their post count and then acting like "Super Heroes" in serious threads. Typical Noob Style.

You can click on their avatar to see their Registration date without going to their profile.

It's a great framework that I can build stuff on top of (that's really what I want).

please show how many users are viewing separate boards from the forums page so we can enter the forum by looking how many number of users are looking at each forum.

Use a custom styles browser extension (like Stylish for Chrome) with:

    .avatarHolder { display: none; }
    Code (markup):

I honestly think you have shown a lot of what can be done and given a new wind of life to Xenforo now. The forum software is a great software to build from and it is looking a lot better than what it used to and I look forward to future plans as well.

Very nice. I'm anxious to see if there are SEO improvements since the new sw uses nice SEO-friendly URLs

Once everything is re indexed and balances out I presume everything will remain as normal for the SEO side of things. Since DigitalPoint were the top dog in main cases anyway.

URLs have slightly more than zero use for SEO (we never bothered with old site simply because there was no point).

Digital Point is right. I am not sure why people classify them as SEO friendly urls. Truth be told they do nothing for SEO and just sort of like better to members I guess, nothing more.
