Good reads to understand internet laws

I know I might sound like a complete noob by using the term internet laws, but it turns out I am, never really cared because I was underage when I started internet marketing and lived in a god-forsaken country where laws would not try to find you.

I live in Canada now and I am an adult therefore I could get in trouble if I'm not aware of the "internet laws"

can any one suggest me a good read to understand copyright infringement, when do you get a cease a desist letter or get sued at once, how to not take responsibility for user generated content and anything related to having an adult website

    THANKS!

Two good sites (though mostly about U.S.-specific laws) are bitlaw.com and citmedialaw.org

    Start here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copyright_Act_of_Canada

There's an interesting history of bill attempts in Canada over the past several years or so. They got there in the end though.
