    Hi

I have a new dedi that I am trying to setup but having a problem with my nameservers, The domain I am using is buy4g.co.uk

So I set the host name as server.buy4g.co.uk

    and the nameservers as ns1 & ns2.buy4g.co.uk

Then I went to my registra and set the nameserver to the above for my domain www.he-directory.com

But its not working, what do I need to do to the domain in buy4g in my domain registra panel, do I enter the above nameservers and then add the server IP ? or the resolver IP's that were sent in my activation email

What are the resolver IP used for ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks Marx

    Hi,

Can you post the <VirtualHost> blocks you have in your "/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf" file please?

Also, have you setup your server as a DNS server?

    Thanks,
    Michael

Ill try get them and post them, but I dont really need to change much on the server as I as the server management company will do that, all I need to do is get my domain to point to the server ? Is this done with the server IP or the Resolver IP's

    Thanks Marx

Did you register the ns at the registars?

register = you will find ns1.mydomain at IP#

Please infrom your server management company to change the DNS information and update it with the new ip address of your newly bought dedicated server as the former might be pointing your your old one

    Hope it Helps
