I have a fat loss product at and I wish to know if by separating out male and female visitors and customizing my sales script according to their gender (emotions and social benefits wise) as opposed to the current one at http://www.flexiblefatburn.com/ Thanks
Yes you can do that but first you have to send them to a different page where you can ask their gender and then redirect them to the sales page accordingly. you can't change he sales page without it because internet doesn't run according to gender... you have to ask them if you want to send to different offers.
Or you can do what I've been employing: 1) Draw up a list of your persona's your targeting (if you haven't already!) 2) Integrate Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools into your code and be sure to set up Keyword tracking 3) Every time you get a lead in (whether from PPC or Organically) match them to one your persona's and drill down into your metrics to find what keyword led them to your site and be sure to record it in a log! Give it 2 months maybe 3 (depending on your monthly traffic) and then review your data. Once you find specific keywords driving specific traffic you can build unique landing pages (based on what you think would appeal to the persona in question) for each one and using Adwords you can actually manipulate the system so that specific keywords go to specific landing pages. Your conversion rate will increase dramatically! Mine went from 2% to 10% in 4 months! Now granted I employed this tactic for B2B but it's still a relevant strategy for B2C. Just remember to collect data for a few months and base your landing page optimization on the trends in that. Good Luck!
Yups .. But we should always try different thing to keep increasing conversion rate.. apply this and also test few other method to find out whats working best for you. don't forget to TRACK everything..
Thanks! You have been very helpful. Okay, I will make use of that, just with a slight tweak to the marketing part because sadly my adwords account is banned cos i linked to a clickbank site...
Glad to help! You can still manipulate the landing pages for organic as well, just a bit more of crap shoot because of the nature of the ranking algorithm.
