    Hi,

I have an iframe on my page. The iframe displays another page that has Flash object. That page is from a different domain. When I view my page on Safari, the Flash object is displayed out of the iframe and above all other elements on my page.

    To reproduce this behavior:

    1. Open Safari.
    2. Go to http://iphonetester.com/.
    3. Enter http://villagepizzeria.net/ in the iPhone address bar.

This is not my website or script but the problem is the same.

If you can fix this (not sure if it is possible), please send me a screenshot of your solution (not the code, just the result) so that I will be sure you can do that and we will not waste any time chatting.

    Thanks.

    Hi Ademmeda.

Villagepizzeria would look good on all major desktop browsers, but not mobiles. And that's because it still use Flash (embedded as usual, but not iframed) and iPhone devices just don't like it.

Don't have a solution for you to see but only a couple of suggestion, sorry. First, you should replace that 'birds flying' Flash with HTML5/ jQuery/ javascript. Also, you should have tested this with real iPhone since AFAIK there is no iPhone-emulations out there good enough to emulate iPhone.

    Hope this helps:)

Yes it still exists. If you are doing your tests ignoring Safari and thinking that Chrome = Safari, I feel sorry for your clients.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am not building a website, I am building a simulator.

If I wanted to say that Safari is same as Chrome then I would have said "Chrome – same as safari." But I didn't say that.

You might want to divert your sorry feeling to your comprehension level, just saying.

Back to the topic, can't check on a Safari right now, hope you find the solution for this issue and update the thread for future similar cases.

    enjoy :)

Posts like your first reply are nothing but a waste of time for both of us. I am saying that the problem exists in Safari and you are telling that you checked it in Chrome and it works fine. Do you really think you will get a client like this?

If reading those reply wasted your time then you wouldn't have extended the conversation with an off-topic response.

Many issues with Safari are also faced in Chrome, and I don't make assumptions about how much any poster knows.

Don't worry about clients, worry about your time which you're allegedly wasting but keenly investing to write off-topic stuff.

    Hope this helps :)
