I guess the issue here is that the OP has a niche, not just dating but specific types of dating (targeted to particular cultures etc I suspect), and that in itself is a niche subject and something the OP is able create unique keywords for. And we all know how important keywords are when trying to get traffic to your sites !!!

The use of the social media is also a recognized way to add to that traffic, but looking at the link posted, there doesn't (to me) seem to be much activity - not that I frequent dating sites much. So, as mentioned by Bigznet . . . .

. . . . . I suspect much of the income is derived from affiliate marketing.
No problems with that at all, we all do it, but if that "IS" the case, then the initial post is slightly misleading.

Would be good if the OP could clarify the use of affiliate marketing - if that's what they are doing - if not -good for you, and long may it continue!

 

Dont assume, why not just ask in a constructive way, and take a look at the website he has? lol.

 

The OP has a good system:

*Keyword Research;
*Find search terms with good amount and search and not very hard competition;
*Use social sites to get eyeballs;
*Convert some of the people who found their way to your link;

A basic step-by-step guide that works but is a lot of work when you don't have money to outsource. And people tend to be scared away by work, so most people will fail due to giving up.

 

Hi, I don't use any affiliate marketing at all. All the traffic generated is from the methods mentioned in my first post.

 

Are these dating niche sites where you sell affiliate products or dating networks where people sing up to meet other singles in their local area ?

If it's the latter , what is your principal monetizing method ?

Having done more research it certainly looks like he has a great niche! Rankings as described - page 1, so he's done his homework.

yes you put link to your site but make sure you dont try to spam the yahoo community, otherwise you will be banned, just find the related questions to your niche and then answer it with link to your site.

Excellent advice - Once again the power of YouTube is clear to be seen. The great thing with YT is that Panda had no effect on it at all. I find you can bomb it with backlinks and achieve great rankings quickly with no sandboxing effects whatsoever.
