    Definitely not true. A good host plus a package with enough resources can handle this visitors per day. No need to add more tasks to the daily routine ...

    There might be reasons to switch to a VPS but it's not that a shared hosting account is not able to handle the number of hits

    HostGator.com, BlueHost.com, Greentohost.com, Exabytes.com all these offer great shared hosting. Careful when choose shared plan make sure they don't oversell.

    Unfortunately it is "shared" hosting, you shouldn't actually be wanting to use 100GB space etc for $3/month, it isn't ever going to legitly happen.
