what was your first experience making money online?

I had completely forgotten about this until the news of alladvantage relaunching popped up.

when I was in middle school I found out about them, signed up under one of my parent's name, and did nothing more than spam yahoo auctions with it. I made around 10,000$ through the few months I was promoting them. dunno, I just find it absolutely hilarious in retrospect.

 

I had a hard time at first. I tried selling VERY useful guides for a fifth of what lesser guides were charging, but it was hard to make sales and get traffic, even when people were happy.

Then for my main site, I decided to make the bold move of making EVERYTHING 100% free (even my services) in an effort to boost the search engine rankings and popularity. I found some great alternatives to monetizing it (without the usual Adsense and all of those), and it's now my most popular site taking in thousands consistantly.

So if it's not working for you yet, try to think outside of the box and you might just be surprised at what happens.

I made a good profit designing websites back in the late 90's.

 

Mine was spending endless hours clicking ads and reading emails. And then I would get excited because Id made 10c in one day. What the? lol

 

I played a lot of video games back in the day, decided I needed money so I started a game server company, it was just for fun at first but then it ended up getting 1000x bigger than I thought. Made $xx,xxx but ended up losing a lot of it because I was young and stupid.

 

Wow, ten cents a day!

About a year ago I started a website that referred poker players to poker rooms, I get a share of the profits the pokerroom makes off the players, but give most of it back to them as incentive to join through me. I am still making good money to this day off it, but decided I wanted to open up a bit and try other streams.

 

Probably selling stuff on ebay and amazon.

 

I made some money from an initial web project selling vip membership to my site members. But it wasn't until I started to earn from the sells of my ebook that I started getting really excited.

 

I'm on my first, adsense and i'm doing quite good heheh!

 

I was clicking like a mad on stormclix and reading paid emails!

after a wise calculation, I decided that I had to dropp paid emails (only pennies of the dollar) and keep stormclix. After I made some dollars on stormclix I said hey! If I made one dollar, I can make two! If I can make two, I can make four...

Stormclix was fun!! LOL.

 

The first time I had made any money was when I added adsense to an already-existing forum of mine. I think I earned 2 bucks the first day, and it all snowballed from there.

 

I need traffic... I need traffic . That was my first expirience. This is nice thread.

 

I made money with Adengage the first time! it was 20 dollars

 

I made money with affilate marketing.
I did ppc advertising to my affilaite link and made some money.
Then the heartless, ruthless merchant found my sources of advertisements and advertise there themself. 1 day after I started earning.

So I lost it all back.

Now, I'm much wiser

 

I had free access to books, and I would sell it on amazon. I did that for a year, made good money, but then my supervisor told us we can't do that anymore.

 

I started selling things out of old houses my parents would buy to fix. So I think Ebay would be the first place I made money on when I was 15.

 

I made 12 cents on a PTC website, but didn't know what to do with such a huge amount of money. So, I donated it to some student who was begging on some forums to donate atleast 1 cent. I'm still proud of what I've done.)

 

My first money came from adsense on a blogspot blog. I started my first blog long ago on blogger.com and someone told me about adsense. I put there and started making $$ and one day i searched something related to how to increase earnings of adsense and landed on DP forums and learnt everything else from here.

 

Running an e-newsletter, which I did for five years.
