So I was recently approved into adsense the other week. I put ads on the homepage and inside the posts. Im getting views and but I have a slight problem. My keywords have high cpc but when I check my ad clicks from the US, those clicks pay only less than 1$, some have 0.20$ and the others are 1$. Is there any problem with my site or ads? My website.
most of the time the ads displayed to the user are going to be based on what that person has searched for recently. nothing wrong with your site
Yeah if the ads are not highly targeted for what your site is about.. then the payout is going to be way less. I am guessing your getting traffic via social networks like facebook or something because then the relevancy would be super low and .. yeah.. that's just how it works. JUST GET WAY MORE TRAFFIC even though it is not the payout you thought. It will pan out with lots of traffic
You have ads on your contact page, privacy policy and disclaimer page. You shouldn't have ads on those pages. I recommend using the quick adsense plugin here http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/quick-adsense/ People always come here and say Google banned me for no reason but you could get banned for something simple like that.
