Unwanted Google Search Results.

    Hello everyone,

I love searching in Google but yesterday I got bad experience after searching a simple keyword. I want to search "forum poster required" in Google. After punching this I got unwanted search results, some of them are 6 years old. Also new searches came after old search result.
So, do you really think that Google is most suitable for searches.

    I love your feedback.
    Thanks everyone

I saw similar glitches, they where, or still are, on another penguin audit and this things do happen then sometimes. Mostly it's a question of hours and everything looks "normal" again.

Yeah, like monfis said, sometimes there are glitches.

That being said, there are often sites in the top search results that have no content, and are basically crap sites.

Not sure how they snuck through the updates, but it's definitely annoying to those of use who work hard to create quality content, and watch our site fall short to spammy sites.

It's unfortunate, but there's really nothing we can do.

    Jake

I'm not sure but i think that they distilled your search results as well. There may be a filtration based on firstly quality (older) and then newer results. May be newer is having lack of notes about your search compared to older result. pls kindly notify me, if anything i said wrongly:)

I think you are searching what Google does not like, you are searching someone to spam for you.. try other sites like odesk or freelancer to find good forum poster...

I myself look beyond the first page many times. On Google one can find more choices this way. Another option is to click on the 'give us feedback' link. Sometimes the related search can give better results. Turning off search personalization often makes a difference. Try foxstart DOT com to see some custom search options.

I personally don't depend on any one tool and do compare results to the other major Search Engines and a few of the Meta Search portals. Try av DOT com for some really different results :)

If any keyword is forum related then its most results would be from forums.

Could it be that Google has determined - though these posts are older - that these posts are very valuable for those who are searching for your topic?

Age IS a major factor in Googles algorithm. It's not always best because like you pointed out, the info is out dated. But like mentioned above, you might have to look beyond page one or the first few results. I know most of the time when you do a search shopping results come up at the top. Googles search is definitely changing and not really for the good IMO.

Google will need some more update to also consider new website results according to the requirement.

OK fine , it means I can't totally rely on Google search results. I have to filter the results. So why should I search on google and switch to bing.
