I have an informal website that is focused about sex, orgasms, STIs, etc. The reason I am questioning the subject of my website is because when people look up the word sex in search engines they're probably not looking for information (if you know what I mean). Even though you do not give details of your problem, I strongly believe you need to carry out a SEO analysis on your site. If you cannot do that on your own, get in touch with an expert to do it for you.
It's not a unique or innovative concept. It's all been done before and you have tons of competition out there. You may possibly be putting in a lot of time and effort for very little reward.
The niche you have selected is highly competitive. If you want more visitors please be specific. e.g. woman anatomy or orgasm from sex, etc.

If you do mean the niche, giving advice on this type of thing is highly competitive. Haven't got a clue why your worried about people looking up the word 'sex' in the search engines and not looking for information. Surely you are going to be trying to rank for far more targeted, specific keywords related to the content of your site?
Very competitive niche. You need to do keyword research and some serious SEO if you want to rank. Jake
